Last weekend, during the broadcast of Clash in Paris, WWE SmackDown commentator Wade Barrett suggested that Nikki Bella had become outdated. The comment did not sit well with Nikki Bella, who stated on her podcast that Barrett had been avoiding her on Monday Night Raw to avoid giving her explanations.

After the incident, Wade Barrett was removed from the SmackDown commentary table. The timing of the moment made what happened with Bella related, although no one could confirm it one hundred percent. A few hours later, Barrett denied those rumors and stated that he had requested a few weeks of vacation from WWE a long time ago.

With the issue closed, there was still talk of the possibility that the controversy with Bella had created some kind of problem between WWE and the commentator, but Wade Barrett made sure to show the world that the matter was settled, tagging Bella in X and confirming his place in the Bella Army as a fan of the Bella sisters.

"Good news, fight fans! @NikkiAndBrie and I have talked, we have sorted things out, and they have kindly allowed me to return to the Bella Army," Wade Barrett commented. "I have been a full member since FCW 2008. A difference of perspective, to which we are all entitled, but to be clear, some of the personal insults sent to Nikki here are reprehensible and completely out of place, so let's remove them immediately."

"Sorry for not being in X this week. Thank you, Stu! It's been crazy!" Nikki Bella responded. "Sorry for not reaching out to you before chatting with Brie on the podcast. I didn't expect any of this. You know how much I love you and I loved our chat. Exciting for you! Enjoy that well-deserved break!"

It seems that the misunderstanding between Nikki Bella and Wade Barrett is now closed. Barrett will be absent from SmackDown for a couple of weeks and Corey Graves will take his place. Joe Tessitore will also be absent for a while due to his work as a college football commentator.
