Will Ospreay is one step closer to his return to the wrestling ring. The British wrestler was forced to step away from action due to a neck injury he had been dealing with for some time. Doctors advised him not to delay any longer a necessary appointment with the operating room, and this has already taken place.

This was announced by Ospreay himself through a message on his Instagram account. "The road will be long, but it will be worth it to see you all again. The operation was a success," wrote the talent from All Elite Wrestling, making it clear that he will put all his effort into a recovery that seems lengthy.

Will Ospreay revealed his neck problem shortly after All In Texas, also confessing that he had been dealing with issues for almost a year and had even lost sensitivity in one of his arms. According to some reports, Ospreay was dealing with two herniated discs. A problem that, while not preventing him from competing, did cause him pain and could worsen over time with continued action.

Despite everything, the wrestler insisted on participating in AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, an event held in his home country. At that time, doctors assured him that his injury could not worsen before the PPV, so he was allowed to participate in the event. Thus, the wrestler fulfilled his wish, competing in a Lights Out Steel Cage Match in the main event of the show.

After the match, Ospreay was brutally attacked by Death Riders and subsequently taken out on a stretcher. This was a storyline excuse to justify his absence from the company's television programming. It is expected that Ospreay will be out of action for quite some time, although knowing the British wrestler, his willpower may allow him to shorten these times.
