The retirement tour of John Cena is nearing its end. "The Greatest of All Time" only has five appearances left to hang up his boots for good. A number insufficient for the fans, who have gradually seen their lists of desired opponents for this final Cena run shortened.

However, this afternoon Triple H has granted them one of their biggest wishes, announcing that Cena and AJ Styles will face off at Crown Jewel. The match was proposed by both wrestlers and driven by WWE's enormous fan base, responsible for making the hashtag #CenavsStyles a trending topic. Now, John Cena himself has wanted to thank them for their massive support in a message posted on his X account.

"I want to thank Triple H for his flexibility and for recognizing the true driving force behind #CenavsStyles... the FANS! Two posts with over 10 million views, and many of you have made your voices heard! AJ Styles, you will have the best of me at WWE Crown Jewel Perth. Listening to the audience is ALWAYS the best for business. I will be eternally grateful for choosing my next rival. LET'S GO!", Cena wrote

John Cena's last appearance took place last weekend at Wrestlepalooza, when he was defeated by Brock Lesnar in a match heavily criticized by fans. "The Greatest of All Time" arrived at the event after delivering some of the best matches of his recent years against opponents like Cody Rhodes, Logan Paul, or Sami Zayn, only to be overwhelmed by "The Beast Incarnate".

That defeat upset the fans, who felt that Cena should have faced another top-tier opponent to maintain his streak of great matches. At that moment, the name of AJ Styles resurfaced strongly. It was then that both wrestlers got involved in the fans' request, with Cena challenging "The Phenomenal One" and him accepting the challenge. Finally, Triple H made it official this same afternoon.
