Tonight we will once again enjoy a new live broadcast of WWE SmackDown, which this time will be live from the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida. This will be the first episode of the blue brand after Wrestlepalooza and will feature several segments and matches of interest, including two title fights.
Highlighting the triple threat match in which Tiffany Stratton will defend the WWE Women's Championship and a new appearance by Cody Rhodes. As always, we invite you to comment on the post to give your opinion on what happened on the show.
WWE SmackDown starts on Netflix!
We see the arrival of some of tonight's protagonists at the venue: Tiffany Stratton, Jade Cargill, Nia Jax, and Sami Zayn.
Michael Cole and Booker T welcome us to the blue brand show. Booker T will replace Corey Graves for two weeks while the latter recovers from the brutal attack suffered at the hands of Brock Lesnar. With that said, Cole introduces a video recap of Wrestlepalooza.
Paul Heyman is in charge of opening tonight's show. "The Oracle" points out that he has a lot to talk about. So much so that he could fill the two-hour show. However, he wants to reassure everyone backstage that today he will only address one topic. And it won't even be his choice. "So, Orlando, what do you want to talk about?", Heyman asks, imitating Cody Rhodes' famous catchphrase. "Would you like to talk about the World Heavyweight Champion Seth 'Freakin' Rollins?", he asks. "OTC, OTC," the fans respond. Heyman would love to talk about Roman Reigns, but it would be disrespectful to a injured man who ended up being carried out on a stretcher in Paris after being attacked by Bronson Reed. The fans boo. Paul continues asking about the topic he should talk about, such as the man destined to be in the main event of WrestleMania and lead this company in the coming decades, Bron Breakker. Or maybe he should talk about the conspiracy theories and rumors about Brock Lesnar?
Cody Rhodes interrupts the segment
The fans welcome the Undisputed WWE Champion with a great ovation. Cody greets the fans in the front row as he heads to the ring. Once there, Rhodes takes a microphone and stands in front of Heyman. "!Cody, Cody!", chant the fans. Rhodes wants to apologize for something that happened last Monday. An error he wants to correct. Cody recalls calling Paul a "bully." But that's not true, because Heyman is one of the smartest men in the business. That said, Rhodes asks him about Brock Lesnar. Cody asks the production team to show a photo on the screen from Wrestlepalooza, where Paul introduced Lesnar before his match against John Cena. Rhodes wonders if that collaboration was just a one-night thing.
That said, Cody asks Heyman if he is currently talking to "The Oracle," "The Wiseman," or "The Advocate". Paul takes a step back. "You're talking to The GOAT", Heyman replies. He assumes that Rhodes is asking about Lesnar because he knows that everyone is in danger when "The Beast" appears. The fans rise from their seats, pointing to a specific spot. Cody turns to see Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed making their entrance from the stands. "Brock Lesnar is not here, but Mr. Rhodes, what makes you think you are not in danger right now?", asks "The Oracle" before throwing the microphone to safety on the apron.
Rhodes addresses Reed and Breakker, pointing out that it was time for this confrontation. Cody states that he has heard non-stop that both are the future of this company. "I'm sure Mr. Heyman tells you that you are a future main eventer at WrestleMania waiting for the moment to happen. And I bet you anything that's exactly what he tells him", explains Cody to Bron while pointing at Reed. Rhodes confesses to Breakker that at his age he would have killed to be a "Paul Heyman Guy." However, there is something that Bron and Bronson should know. Unlike other legends in the business, Heyman is an inscrutable man. No one really knows him and no one knows who he is loyal to. "But one thing I can guarantee you: he is not loyal to you", says Cody to Breakker.
Bron tears off his shirt in front of the Undisputed WWE Champion. He accepts the challenge, taking off his jacket, ready to fight. "Guys, it looks like you want to fight, huh? Maybe it's not a good decision on my part, but what the hell!", exclaims Cody before launching the first attack. Despite his initial offense, Rhodes ends up succumbing to the numerical advantage of his enemies. Reed immobilizes Cody while Breakker prepares to execute a spear. But suddenly...
!Randy Orton makes his entrance!
"The Viper" gets rid of Reed on the entrance ramp before bursting into the ring, where he initiates an exchange of attacks with Breakker. The latter blocks an RKO by pushing Randy, but he ends up next to Bronson, who ultimately receives "The Viper's" finisher. Meanwhile, Cody delivers a clothesline on Bron to expel him from the ring. Orton picks up the WWE Championship, which he observes carefully before handing it over to its rightful owner. Randy and Cody remain in the ring as Breakker and Reed retreat backstage with Heyman. And so we reach the end of the segment.
Cathy Kelley interviews The Street Profits in the Gorilla Position. Kelley asks the former tag team champions about the tension that has arisen between them in recent weeks. Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins make it clear that they are fine. In families, there are arguments, but in the end, family members take care of each other. "To all those who thought this brotherhood had come to an end: Surprise! The Street Profits are on the rise and we want the smoke!", exclaims Ford before heading to the ring with his partner.
We see Olympic medalist Noah Lyles in the front row.

Carmelo is about to enter the ring to interrupt the count, but finally stops to watch the outcome of the match. 1..2..3.

The Street Profits celebrate their victory when they notice the presence of The Wyatt Sicks, who watch them from the commentary table. Montez and Angelo assure them that they will regain the Championships and even challenge them to enter the ring. However, The Wyatts remain in their positions. And so we reach the end of this segment.
Cathy Kelley interviews Jade Cargill backstage. Kelley reminds Jade that tonight she will face an unpredictable match, so she wonders how she has prepared for it. Cargill replies that she has no plan for tonight because she doesn't need one. All she has in mind is the idea of dominating. She is tired of women claiming to be at the top of the women's division, so she will feel very good when she becomes the new WWE Women's Champion. Stephanie Vaquer appears on the scene. Cargill turns to exchange glances with the Chilean. "When I get the victory tonight, a storm will be heading your way at Crown Jewel", says Jade. "I can't wait," replies "The First." Cargill leaves to end this segment.

Sol Ruca and Zaria approach Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair in the locker room to ask for a shot at the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships. Charlotte responds that there are many teams waiting and that ZaRuca has not earned it. "It's funny coming from Charlotte Flair", says Zaria. Sol apologizes on behalf of her partner, pointing out that she did not mean to say that. "Yes, you did," replies the Australian. Both women start arguing. Bliss interrupts them. Alexa admits that both are very talented, but they don't seem like a team. She and Flair, on the other hand, have come to tolerate each other, and when they are in the ring, they do what they have to do. "If you want to be in the ring with us, you first have to prove your worth. So, until then, get in line", says Alexa as she faces Zaria. Ruca convinces her partner to leave the place. Charlotte mocks them as they leave. "Bliss, you've been a bit harsh. Well, very harsh. I'm so proud of you. I've taught you well", says Flair to Bliss as the segment comes to an end.
We see a promotional video for Crown Jewel.
Drew McIntyre makes his entrance wearing a walker boot to protect his right leg. Once in the ring, McIntyre recalls that this is the venue where he made his return to WWE in 2017. The same place where he faced Randy Orton to win his second WWE Championship. The same one where he should have won his first WWE title in front of a live audience. Now he’s still not champion because of Cody Rhodes. Last Saturday, Drew had Rhodes in his hands. The match was nearly won, but "The American Nightmare" was one step ahead of him—and he has proof:
Everything the referee did was meant to stop him from becoming champion. Drew addresses the company’s referees directly. "Do you work for WWE or for Cody Rhodes?" the Scotsman asks. "I don’t blame the referee. Ryan Tran, I forgive you. You’ve got a family to feed. I blame Cody Rhodes. He has all the power, and with great power comes great responsibility—and greater corruption. And that’s exactly what’s going on here," says McIntyre.
Nick Aldis appears on the entrance ramp. The SmackDown General Manager understands how Drew feels, but that's the business: sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. "Sometimes you're the hammer, other times you're the nail. It wasn't your night. Don’t make excuses. I’ve known you a long time. You’re better than this," says Aldis. The Brit brings up the moment when McIntyre kicked the commentary table. What he doesn’t understand is where the walker boot came from, as WWE’s medical team knows nothing about it. McIntyre replies that he won’t let Cody Rhodes’ medical team examine him. That’s why he went to his own doctors. Aldis is tired of Drew’s conspiracies. Thinking he’s not champion because WWE is corrupt sounds crazy to him. Besides, the referee’s decision is final and irrevocable. Aldis leaves, making it clear the conversation is over. "Really? You’re turning your back on me, Nick? You know this is bullshit. Everyone knows this is bullshit! I’m the champion without a championship! Everyone back there knows I’m one of the most dangerous men in this..." says Drew before being interrupted.
Jacob Fatu makes his entrance!
Fatu heads to the ring to confront the Scotsman. Drew tries to speak, but "The Samoan Werewolf" takes the microphone from him. Jacob is tired of hearing Drew complain week after week, blaming others for his own mistakes. That’s why he advises him to shut up and sit down. McIntyre takes back the mic. "Who the hell do you think you are?" asks an angry Drew. "You’ve had a good run this past year, but I’m Drew McIntyre. And you want to come out here and try to run me off? If I weren’t injured..." he adds before Jacob snatches the mic again. "If you weren’t injured, what? Because I don’t know if you forgot, but Jacob Fatu is all gas and no brakes!" the Samoan shouts. McIntyre responds with a Glasgow Kiss. Furious, Fatu hits back with a superkick. Drew collapses to the mat. Jacob takes the walker boot and uses it against the Scotsman as soon as he stands up. The boot smashes McIntyre’s head before flying to ringside. Satisfied, Jacob heads backstage. Meanwhile, Drew remains motionless on the canvas.
Stephanie Vaquer approaches Tiffany Stratton backstage. "I’ll be watching you tonight. Who knows, maybe we’ll meet in the ring at Crown Jewel," says "La Primera." "Look, Stephanie. I respect you. But when it comes to you and me in the ring, you’ll end up flat on the mat and I’ll be your Crown Jewel Champion," replies Stratton. "We’ll see about that," says Vaquer before leaving.
Sami Zayn talks with Rey Fenix backstage. Sami thanks the masked man for the match they had two weeks ago—one of the best he’s had in a long time. Fenix thanks the United States Champion for the opportunity. Now he wonders who will answer tonight’s open challenge. In the background, we see Shinsuke Nakamura. Zayn tells Fenix he has no idea what will happen tonight. That’s the nature of open challenges. It could be someone from Raw or, since they’re in Orlando, maybe... Sami and Rey part ways as Zayn heads to the ring.
Solo Sikoa is shown seated at his table. Behind him stands Tonga Loa. Solo calls JC Mateo, who quickly stands behind his leader. He recalls that Mateo is an Olympic athlete who has won championships around the world. He’s also the baddest and strongest guy—and he proved it by stepping up when Jacob Fatu started acting like he was more important than his own family. Mateo showed he’s ready to act when needed, and Solo values that. "Your loyalty will be rewarded as long as you're part of My Family Tree," says Sikoa. "I love you, Solo," says JC Mateo, placing his hand on the leader’s shoulder. The promotional video ends here.
Sami Zayn waits in the ring for the man answering his open challenge, and it turns out to be Je'Von Evans. Meanwhile, Josh Briggs, Evans’ rival at NXT No Mercy, watches from the front row.

Sami helps Je'Von up and raises his arm in a show of respect. Zayn exits the ring, letting the spotlight shine on the NXT talent.
Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre approach Nia Jax backstage. Chelsea informs Jax that there's an open spot in "The Secret Hervice" and she thinks Nia would be a perfect fit. Jax takes Green’s flyer and rips it up, clearly declining the offer. She continues walking until she crosses paths with Stephanie Vaquer. "Good luck, Nia," says "La Primera." Jax notes that she could knock her out right then and there, but she’ll wait until Crown Jewel—where she’ll do it anyway, but as the WWE Women’s Champion. A confident Jax walks off, ending the segment.
Damian Priest comes across Kit Wilson backstage. Sitting in a wheelchair with his left arm in a sling, the Brit accuses Priest of being the embodiment of toxic masculinity. Kit stands up to push Damian, declaring that his is the true strength of a man—one who looks another in the eye and calls him by name: "toxic." Priest pretends to strike him. Kit quickly turns around, only to trip over his wheelchair. Wilson ends up on the floor. Priest mocks the situation. Suddenly, Aleister Black appears behind him. "Looking for me, Damian?" the Dutchman asks before knocking Priest out with a Black Mass. Aleister sits beside Priest. "At least now it feels like we’re getting somewhere. I feel like we’re going to keep doing this until only one of us is left standing. Oh, how rude of me. Happy birthday, mate," Aleister says before walking away.

Cargill grabs Nia, ready to hit a Fallaway Slam, but Stratton takes both of them down with a dropkick.
The action spills to ringside, where Jax slams Cargill against the barricade. "Tables! Tables!" chant the crowd. Nia approaches the ring apron and pretends to pull one out. The fans go wild.
