In the most recent episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Tiffany Stratton managed to retain the WWE Women's Championship in a triple threat match against Nia Jax and Jade Cargill. The match closed the evening as the main event and ended up being more chaotic than expected.
The most talked-about action of the night took place outside the ring. There, Nia Jax threw Jade Cargill into the metal stairs, causing a cut on her eyebrow that immediately started bleeding. The image sparked controversy among fans, reflected on Solowrestling and social media platforms.
At that moment, the cut on Cargill couldn't be clearly seen, but the SmackDown superstar has taken it upon herself to show the audience the extent of it. In an Instagram post, Cargill has displayed the result in several images, protected by social media due to their graphic nature. So far, WWE has not made any mention of the incident. However, Jax not only allegedly made a mistake in that action. She also made a mistake in another move where she was supposed to break free from Tiffany Stratton's three-count. Daphanie LaShaunn completed the count on the second slap without Jax moving her shoulder off the mat.
In cases like this, with the type of cut that Jade Cargill has suffered, it is likely that the WWE superstar will not be able to compete again for two or three weeks. We will be waiting for updates.
