WWE celebrates tonight a new premium show of its brand NXT, this time from the FTL War Memorial in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Solowrestling will provide special coverage of No Mercy that you can read in this news article. The report will start at the beginning of the Countdown to WWE NXT No Mercy.

Remember that you can review the card and show times here. We look forward to your comments!

Countdown to WWE NXT No Mercy 2025

Megan Morant and Sam Roberts welcome us to the Countdown Show before showing a video recap of TNA Victory Road with Kelani Jordan winning the Knockouts World Championship!

Jordynne Grace and Blake Monroe star in a promotional video about their Weaponized Steel Cage Match. "The Juggernaut" ensures that the most dangerous weapon in the match is herself. "No rules. No mercy", she says. "I am the woman from Hell and I will take you there with me", Blake promises.

Blake Howard interviewed Tavion Heights before the show. Heights recalled his past as an Olympic athlete in Tokyo and how the fans' energy drives him. It is that energy that he likes the most about this business. Regarding his opponent tonight, Ethan Page, Tavion acknowledges that the Canadian has 18 years of experience in the business, in addition to having fought in companies like TNA or AAA. However, he has also fought in both promotions, and even in Japan. Additionally, two weeks ago he defeated him in a Flag Match. So he is sure that tonight he will win and become the new North American Champion of NXT. Heights dedicates a few minutes to talk about his passions outside of professional wrestling: fishing and traveling with his wife. Finally, Tavion promises that tonight he will achieve what he could not achieve in Japan. "I couldn't leave the Tokyo Olympics with gold around my neck, but I will leave No Mercy with the North American Championship around my waist", Heights says to end the interview.

We see a promotional video starring Ricky Saints in his hometown of New Orleans. "The Absolute" reflects on his past and the journey that led him to WWE. Saints emphasizes the importance of his match at NXT No Mercy, promising that this Saturday a new era will begin in NXT: the "Absolute era".

Vic Joseph interviewed Lainey Reid before the show. Reid acknowledges that the intensity of WWE Speed matches is different, but it is something that is not strange to her since she is used to speed due to her past as an athlete. Lainey remembers her debut in NXT and how she challenged Jacy Jayne with the goal of surprising the world as the champion did before defeating Stephanie Vaquer. Despite her defeat against the leader of Fatal Influence, that same night Reid realized that she could compete against any woman in the NXT women's division. Lainey admits that she underestimated Jayne, but after seeing her reign, she ended up respecting her. When asked if she believes it is possible to defeat Sol Ruca tonight, Reid replied that you just have to watch her matches against Jayne, Kelani Jordan, or her performance in the WWE Speed tournament. "This is my first match in a PLE, so if you think I'm going to leave No Mercy without the WWE Speed Championship around my waist, you are very wrong", said Lainey to end the interview.

We see a promotional video starring Josh Briggs, who describes himself as the kind of man everyone dreams of being. He is strong, agile, and capable of crushing anyone. Despite this, he has never been able to connect with the fans. Briggs claims he has tried, but they have never responded. There was a time when he wanted to please them, but it's over. Josh describes the fans as hypocrites, booing him and chanting for him to leave only to enjoy his matches. "Maybe you are the ones who don't understand, like Je'Von Evans," says Briggs. Evans desires the fans' approval, even if he has to sacrifice his own body for it. And that makes him weak. Tonight, at NXT No Mercy, he will show the whole world that nothing matters. "Chant all you want. The only chant that matters to me is the 1..2..3", he says to end his promo.

We see a promotional video starring Oba Femi and Ricky Saints before their title match tonight.

Shawn Michaels announces that Lainey Reid is injured and does not have medical clearance to compete. Nevertheless, the Women's WWE Speed Championship match will not be canceled. Sol Ruca will defend the gold against a new opponent who will be revealed during the show.

Ava delivers a message from her office to provide an update on last Tuesday’s TNA invasion. Ava acknowledges that the relationship between both brands has become somewhat unstable in recent weeks, which culminated in an invasion by talent from Anthem Media’s company, causing chaos in NXT. After the incident, Ava and Santino Marella talked for several hours aiming to find a solution. They finally reached an agreement. For the first time in history, TNA and NXT will face off in a special episode, Invasion, taking place on Tuesday, October 7th. The show will feature two Survivor Series-style matches, one male and one female. Ava and Marella will select the competitors who will participate in these matches next Tuesday on NXT. Additionally, DarkState and The Hardys will face off in a "title vs. title" match, where the TNA and NXT Tag Team Championships will be on the line. And to prevent what happened last Tuesday, everyone will be prohibited from being at ringside. This guarantees that there will be a winning team. Ava signs off, inviting fans to tune in on October 7th.

Lash Legend appears on the entrance ramp. Legend points out that it was worth taking Zaria’s spear if it helped influence Jaida Parker’s defeat. However, she’s not here to talk about that, as there are more important matters to address. Lash addresses the TNA talents, promising them that in NXT they will get exactly what the acronym stands for: Total Nonstop Action. With that said, she puts herself forward as the appropriate captain to lead NXT’s female team at Invasion. She is the right woman for the job, and Jaida Parker can confirm it since Lash beat her the last time they faced off. Tired, Parker bursts onto the scene to attack Legend. Both women start a fight that has to be stopped by several security members.

Lola Vice appears on scene, expressing regret that Reid can’t compete tonight. "That sucks, but don’t worry, your moment will come," says Lola. "Oh, that’s very sweet, but I hope you still feel that when you lose, because you don’t stand the slightest chance of beating Jacy for that title," Reid replies. Lola approaches her, warning her to watch her tone because with one kick she could turn that injured leg into a broken one.
