Kota Ibushi is going through one of the toughest moments of his career. The Japanese wrestler suffered a femur fracture during his match against Josh Alexander, recorded last Thursday for AEW Collision. The incident occurred when both fell from the third rope to the outside of the ring, causing such a serious injury that Ibushi himself acknowledged that the bone "pierced the muscle".

Through Instagram, the former NJPW champion shared an emotional update on his condition, confirming that the surgery was successful and highlighting a gesture that deeply moved him: Tony Khan sent him a bouquet of flowers and a personal letter wishing him a speedy recovery.

"The operation was a success. If I suffer such a serious injury again, I think I will live the rest of my life as a normal person," Ibushi wrote. "I couldn't believe it. Tony Khan himself sent me flowers and a letter. If someone does that for you, how can you give up? I cried. I don't know if it will take a year or a year and a half to recover, but I will do everything I can. I can only move my toes right now. The pain is intense, but I will give my best."

Khan's message accompanied the flowers with a text that said: "We are all thinking of you and sending our best wishes for a quick and uncomplicated recovery."

The AEW president also publicly expressed his admiration for the wrestler after the match aired on television: "We are very grateful for The Golden Star, @ibushi_kota. In my opinion, he is one of the best wrestlers I have ever seen in my life. He is adored by the AEW locker room and fans worldwide. We wish him the best as he recovers."

Although Ibushi doesn't know how long it will take to return, his message makes it clear that he could be out of action for a long time. From Solowrestling, we send our positive energy for a speedy recovery.
