The day before Crown Jewel, Dave Meltzer, from WON, commented on the formations that, in principle, WWE would propose for the Wargames matches of this year 2025. Reviewing the men's match, many fans were shocked by the team that the villains' side would present: Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Redd would be joined by Austin Theory and Brock Lesnar. Many were very surprised to see the name of the 2-time United States champion, as until this moment he is removed from the company's active roster.
As the days passed, we have learned that the plans to team up The Vision and Theory were indeed plausible. However, Seth Rollins' injury on the Australia show has completely changed the landscape. In addition to the company vacating the title and hastening Breakker and Reed's betrayal to their leader, many thought that these plans with Theory would fall through or, at best, be put on hold for a few weeks.
Nevertheless, just a few minutes ago, the Wrestlevotes outlet has published that the idea of the young wrestler reappearing in the short term has not been discarded at all, and several people within the company are pushing for this to happen: "Sources indicate that there are still voices within the company pushing for Austin Theory to remain involved in the creative plans, even after the recent reorganization caused by Seth Rollins' injury. The idea of Theory joining The Vision was at least discussed, and still has internal support to reappear on television significantly."
These last few days have been, probably, some of the most chaotic in the last months within WWE's creative direction. This indefinite absence of Rollins, which could even extend beyond the next WrestleMania, would have forced a rethink of all the company's plans for the following months. Even the company still wouldn't have a defined course of action regarding the injury of the main pillar of its programming on Raw, so we must be very attentive to know the possible movements in the coming days.
