After a few days of intense contractual controversy, Big Time Wrestling has announced that Andrade will appear in their show on November 1st. In the event, which will take place at the Augusta Civic Center, the Mexican will face Donovan Dijak. Superstars of the caliber of Kurt Angle, Matt Riddle, PCO, and Swipe Right will also make an appearance at this show.
This confirmation clashes with the events of a few days ago, after we learned that the sudden disappearance of the wrestler from AEW's programming was due to WWE sending a cease and desist letter to Tony Khan's company. Since then, the wrestler has not appeared on television again, as the rival company had stated that the wrestler was still under contract with them.
Andrade had joined AEW without knowing that there was a 90-day non-compete clause. Unaware of this situation, Andrade, who was not receiving a salary from WWE despite being "tied" to them, began accepting dates with other companies to compete in them. Another major issue is that the breach of this 90-day non-compete clause, according to various sources, could mean that Andrade might be forced not to compete on U.S. soil for 12 months, a full year.
In new information from Michael Morales, a journalist from Lucha Libre Online, it was mentioned that if Andrade was forced not to compete without receiving any financial compensation, that could be considered illegal.
Andrade's new date represented progress in this situation because, whether there is a 90-day or 12-month clause, the reality is that the wrestler will appear in an independent company, something that had been thwarted in recent weeks by WWE's interference.
