Currently, Adam Copeland is missing from the AEW programming. After his commendable victory alongside his partner Christian Cage against FTR at the AEW All Out event, the wrestler left television after starring in an emotional segment where he talked about the impact that wrestling had on his life.
Although many might think that Cope would take a break to rethink his future in the industry, the reality is very different: according to PW Insider, the wrestler would step away from wrestling temporarily to film a new season of the series Percy Jackson and the Olympians, a series in which he plays the character Ares.
With the Dynamite segment, the company likely wanted to capitalize on the heat from the feud against Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler and the attack on his wife, Beth Phoenix, to justify the wrestler's absence for a few weeks. Additionally, with that speech in which he speaks candidly about his career, he also plants the fear of an imminent retirement, something that doesn't seem to be a concern at the moment.
With this role, Copeland continues to build a successful acting career. In addition to his roles in Vikings, The Flash, and the aforementioned Percy Jackson series, he would now add a role in the movie The Beekeeper 2, starring Jason Statham.
