Seth Rollins was sidelined two weeks ago, after suffering a left shoulder injury during his match against Cody Rhodes at the Crown Jewel event, held in Perth, Australia, on October 11.

The former champion has been at the center of conversations in recent weeks, especially because many thought the injury was part of a storyline. However, Rollins himself has dispelled any doubts by posting an image after undergoing surgery. "Caffeine and clarity. See you on the other side. P.S.: I love soccer," Rollins wrote on Instagram, showing a picture with his arm in a sling.

Due to that injury, the WWE World Heavyweight Championship was vacated by order of Adam Pearce, Raw's General Manager. The new champion will be decided in a match between CM Punk and Jey Uso in the upcoming edition of Saturday Night's Main Event, which will take place on November 1 at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, UT.

The duration of Seth Rollins' absence is unknown, but some media outlets ventured to predict that the wrestler could return before WrestleMania 42. According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer, WWE's plan was to have Seth Rollins face Roman Reigns for the Championship, although other sources indicated that Rollins was scheduled to fight Bron Breakker.
