The return of Liv Morgan to WWE television programming is getting closer. The former World Champion is in an advanced stage of shoulder recovery, which has already allowed her to return to training. Now, it's just a matter of waiting for her to receive medical clearance, expected to take place in early 2026, as reported by PWInsider's Mike Johnson.

"The expectation within WWE is that Morgan may return to the ring in early 2026. There's always the possibility of an earlier return if she progresses faster than expected in her physical rehabilitation after suffering a shoulder dislocation earlier this year, but nothing definitive has been heard about it," Johnson wrote. "It's logical to think that WWE will do everything possible to keep her return a secret and create a big moment when it happens, so the company is expected to seek a great reaction from the audience when it occurs."

"We can confirm, through multiple sources, that the company is very excited about her return to action. Morgan is especially popular in Saudi Arabia, so it makes sense for the company to want to have her ready for the Royal Rumble edition that will take place there," he added.

The upcoming months will undoubtedly be important for Morgan. Besides her return to action, the wrestler has other dates marked on her calendar. One of them is November 1, the start of the trial against Shawn Chan, the stalker who was arrested in Florida a few months ago.

Additionally, in August 2026 (date not definitive), Bad Lieutenant: Tokyo will be released, Takashi Miike's film in which Morgan has a dramatic role and for which she received great praise on set. It is unknown if Liv will be part of the film's promotion.

Liv Morgan suffered a shouder injury last June, just weeks before WWE Evolution 2, which forced the company to make last-minute changes for both the women's exclusive PLE and SummerSlam. The injury occurred at the worst possible time, as Morgan was one of the most prominent women on Raw television programming.

During her absence, many things have changed in The Judgment Day. Roxanne Perez joined the faction, where she has tried to replace Liv. Meanwhile, Dominik Mysterio has had some clashes with his teammates Finn Bálor and JD McDonagh, which could lead to a team breakup.
