One of the most important news we have learned in the last few hours is that Chad Gable, former Raw and Smackdown tag team champion in WWE, would already be very close to returning to training after his operation on his left shoulder. Specifically, Fightful Select has reported that the wrestler would start his training at the Performance Center in Orlando sometime this week.

Considering that there are just over two months left until the Royal Rumble, it seems like a very attractive date to return in the Royal Rumble match. However, it seems that the fact that it will take place in Saudi territory could complicate its occurrence.

Many details of the injury suffered by the Olympic athlete are unknown. What we do know is that the company, as part of the storyline, justified the wrestler's absence with an attack by Penta on the June 23 Raw show. According to reports, the Mexican and Gable, under the character of Grande Americano, were scheduled to face each other at SummerSlam under a mask vs. mask stipulation, which ultimately did not happen.

Gable was finally operated on during the last week of June in Birmingham, Alabama. While the recovery timeline is unknown, it is indeed great news to hear that his training is progressing. In his latest appearances, we have seen the wrestler disconnecting from wrestling and spending time with his family.

What will happen with Grande Americano?

When the name Chad Gable comes up, many already worry about the character of Grande Americano, a burlesque and pro-American character that Gable himself initiated. After his absence, it was Ludwig Kaiser who began to embody it, having a significant role in AAA programming and adding a new dimension with more patriotic details from Mexico. It is likely that, with the return of the leader of American Made, we will see a small story involving the two Grandes Americanos.
