All Elite Wrestling has officially confirmed that the TNT Championship will be on the line at Collision: Winter Is Coming. Mark Briscoe, who recently dethroned Kyle Fletcher to become the new champion, already has the date of his first major defense marked in red: he will face Daniel Garcia.
During a backstage segment on the AEW Dynamite episode on December 3, Briscoe recalled his previous history with Garcia before announcing that he had spoken directly with Tony Khan to finalize the title match at the winter special of Collision. Mark Briscoe explained that he personally requested to put the title on the line against Daniel Garcia in Cardiff, making it clear that he wants to show from the start that his reign will not be transitional.
The defense will take place on Saturday, December 13 in Cardiff, Wales, as part of the upcoming AEW tour of the United Kingdom. The clash comes just a few days after Samoa Joe defends the AEW World Championship against Eddie Kingston at Dynamite: Winter Is Coming, reinforcing the feeling that December will be a month loaded with title implications for the company.
At the moment, the lineup for AEW Collision: Winter Is Coming is still under construction, although it already has two confirmed matches and more matches from the Continental Classic are expected to be added in the coming days. Below you can read the updated card.
