Bilie Starkz and Deonna Purrazzo will face off at ROH Final Battle with a very clear objective: to become the first Pure Champion in ROH history. Both women earned this opportunity after overcoming the semifinal round of the tournament that took place last night on the latest weekly episode of the brand. However, the path to the final was different for each of them.
On one hand, Purrazzo secured her spot directly after her opponent, Queen Aminata, had to withdraw, as she did not have medical clearance to compete. Aminata herself informed "The Virtuosa" that she couldn't face her in the semifinal round, so her opponent advanced directly to the final. Purrazzo, on her part, promised her a title opportunity when she is ready to return to action, as long as she has the gold in her possession at that time.
Starkz had a much tougher time, fighting tooth and nail to overcome one of the tournament favorites, Yuka Sakazaki. Both women faced off in the main event of the night in a long match that almost reached the one-hour mark. Finally, Starkz resorted to cunning to immobilize Yuka, using the ropes for support to apply more weight on her opponent and prevent her from interrupting the referee's count.
ROH Supercard of Honor will take place tomorrow December 5th at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, Ohio. The show can be watched live from the stands or through a subscription on the Honor Club platform. Below is an update on the list of confirmed matches.
