Deonna Purrazzo wrote a new page in the history of Ring of Honor at the Final Battle event by becoming the first Pure Champion of ROH. The Virtuosa managed to defeat Billie Starkz in the final held during Final Battle, a match that symbolized the conclusion of a tournament as tumultuous as it was anticipated.

The duel was marked by technical wear. Purrazzo seized the moment, caught her opponent in one of her submission transitions, and forced the outcome that crowned her as the inaugural champion. Starkz, with no escape possible, ended up surrendering to the pressure of Purrazzo, who celebrated her historic coronation with emotion.

The path to this final was anything but simple. The title was introduced in April and the competition was supposed to be resolved in July, during Supercard of Honor, but deadlines became complicated and the tournament structure was reconfigured several times. The first round finally began at Death Before Dishonor, extending throughout the summer and fall. Along the way, Starkz eliminated Olympia and Yuka Sakazaki to secure a spot in the final.

Before the final chapter, an unexpected twist marked the outcome: Queen Aminata had to withdraw from the semifinals due to injury, granting Purrazzo a direct pass to the ultimate fight. Already with the title in her hands, the champion was surprised by Aminata's appearance, who, with a neck brace and a defiant gesture, engaged in a tense face-off that foreshadows an immediate rivalry.

The creation of the title opens a new competitive path for the women's division of ROH. Purrazzo, with her experience and methodical style, now positions herself as the standard to beat as the brand looks towards a 2026 where this title could redefine a more technical space.
