What had been feared for days ended up being confirmed in the Saturday edition of AEW Collision: Darby Allin is out of the Continental Classic after competing in just one match. The former TNT champion suffered a series of injuries in his debut against Kevin Knight several days ago on Dynamite, and although specific details have not been revealed yet, they were serious enough to send him to the hospital and remove him from the tournament.

Allin's absence leaves a significant gap in the competition, especially after the anticipation generated by his return to singles competition. AEW announced that his replacement will be "Jungle" Jack Perry, who will temporarily return to solo action, setting aside his commitments with Jurassic Express. It will be his first participation in the Continental Classic and his return to singles competition since November 2024.

As happened last year with Komander, Perry enters the tournament at a disadvantage by joining last minute, but with an opportunity to revitalize his career.

Perry will join the Gold League, where he will face Kevin Knight, Kazuchika Okada, PAC, Kyle Fletcher, and Mike Bailey. His entry adds an interesting twist, as Perry and Okada recently had a tense confrontation, hinting at a possible high-tension showdown.

Allin's absence is a blow to the tournament, losing one of its most unpredictable competitors, but it also opens a window for Perry to find his place in AEW's singles scene. With the stage set in the Gold League, the group now has a new focal point and an additional storyline that could alter the course of the Continental Classic.
