The Miz reveals the most valuable lesson he has learned from working with John Cena

John Cena is now officially a retired wrestler. "The Greatest of All Time" hung up his boots after competing in his last match at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event. A show that few wanted to miss. John leads by example through that, and that's what I learned. It's like saying: okay, do you want to be at the top?, do you want to be that guy? Then you have to work harder than everyone else. Do things that no one else wants to do. Everyone will celebrate when you become a champion, but they never see the effort, the toughness, or what it takes to get there. Then, when you are already a champion, they don't understand what it implies to carry that pressure," said The Miz.

"John taught me all that just by living, being, and doing what he needed to do to be the number one person he wanted to be. There's a reason why he has not only been at the top of WWE, but also in the movies. Anything he sets his mind to, he can achieve," he added.

John Cena ended his professional career last Saturday after being defeated by Gunther in one of the most controversial endings of the Triple H era. Many fans did not want John to retire with a defeat, much less by surrendering. Because of this, the show ended with strong booing from the audience and hostile chants towards Triple H. However, despite everything, Cena has left a huge legacy for the industry as an example for the next generation of talents.
