WWE is celebrating a new episode of Monday Night Raw tonight, this time number 1,701, from the Kia Center in Orlando, Florida. The show will be broadcast live on Netflix and Solowrestling will bring you the results in this news article as every week.
Tonight's episode will feature several matches and segments of interest, highlighting a triple threat match in which Stephanie Vaquer will defend the Women's World Championship. In addition, AJ Styles and Dragon Lee will defend the World Tag Team Championships against The Usos. As always, we invite you to comment on the article to give your opinion on what happened on the show.
WWE Raw on Netflix begins!
The show starts with a video recap of the last episode of the red brand.
We see the arrival of some of tonight's protagonists to the venue: Rey Mysterio (with his dog), The Usos, Stephanie Vaquer, and The Vision in full (Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Logan Paul) (with Austin Theory), who are in charge of opening the last Raw show of 2025.
Heyman takes the floor, only to be booed. "CM Punk, CM Punk!" chant the fans. "CM Punk could have been here, in this group, but oh no, he had to appease all of you and stop listening to me!", exclaims "The Oracle". "OTC, OTC," the fans chant now. Heyman thanks them for their irrelevant opinion to start his promo. Paul reminds us that this is the last Raw show of 2025 to ensure that, in five years, all WrestleMania main events will be starred by the men standing in this ring today. That said, he officially announces that Theory is the new member of The Vision.
Heyman hands the microphone to Theory. "I have waited all my life for this moment. I have worked my whole career for this moment. And I have a lot of things to talk about", says Austin. He starts with the next World Heavyweight Champion, Bron Breakker. Paul adds that The Vision's goals prevail over the individual interests of any of its members. "CM Punk, CM Punk!" the fans chant again.
CM Punk interrupts the segment from the entrance ramp
CM Punk goes straight to Theory. "Kid, I didn't come out here to listen to you. I came out for the other guy, Bron Breakker", he says. CM Punk suggests that at least one of the men in the ring is smart (Paul Heyman), so he suggests he reminds Breakker that he already has his title match. CM Punk points out that now he could enter the ring, where he would receive a beating at the hands of The Vision. But that could leave him out of action. And with him out of action, there won't be a title match next week. That said, he heads to the ring, as he usually looks his opponents in the eye before putting them to sleep. "The Best in the World" continues his path, but The Vision remains in the ring. CM Punk suggests to Bron to ask his partners to leave the ring... unless he's afraid of him. Breakker invites him in as his partners leave the ring.
CM Punk enters the ring to face off with Bron. "What do you have, kid?" he asks. Breakker points out that all Vision members look to the future from the same perspective. One by one, Bron highlights the qualities of all his partners to end up referring to himself as the next World Heavyweight Champion. Breakker is tired of hearing that he is the future of this company. "I am not the future. I am the NOW", he says. Bron bets that CM Punk couldn't find anyone backstage like him: someone who with less than a year of experience has made an impact like him, someone as committed to this industry as him, and much less a dog like him. Breakker knows that CM Punk thinks that just because of his last name he has had it easy. But it's not like that. No one has given him anything. In fact, the pressure of his last name has put him in the spotlight, forcing him to exceed the high expectations placed on him. And now, he will do whatever it takes - even risking his life in the ring - to snatch the World Heavyweight Championship from him.
CM Punk affirms that Bron is wrong. CM Punk does believe that Breakker is ready. However, what Bron desires weighs much more than it seems. CM Punk places the championship on the canvas in front of Bron. "Pick it up! It weighs much more than you think. And I'm not ready to let it go", says CM Punk. He is still not ready to stop representing the brand as its top champion as he goes on stage to welcome the fans in every city he visits. CM Punk acknowledges that Breakker has great qualities, but they differ in one thing: Bron Breakker is not CM Punk. "Someday someone will defeat me to take this away... but it won't be you. See you on January 5th", says CM Punk as he pushes Breakker. After that, he leaves the ring. The rest of The Vision members return to the ring, where a serious Bron is standing. CM Punk smiles at him before heading backstage.
Jackie Redmond interviews Raquel Rodriguez backstage before her title match tonight. The Texan assures that no one will get in her way to the Women's World Championship. Liv Morgan appears on the scene to cheer on Raquel, reminding her of the importance of her match tonight. Morgan is convinced that Rodriguez will win the Women's World Championship to bring it back to the faction. Raquel thanks her for it, but also makes it clear that tonight she will take care of it alone. Roxanne Perez joins her teammates to wish Raquel good luck. "I don't need luck", says a confident Rodriguez before leaving. Morgan strokes Roxanne's hair as they both watch their teammate head to the ring.

Jackie Redmond interviews Gunther backstage. Redmond asks "The Ring General" about his controversial statements after defeating John Cena. The former World Heavyweight Champion reiterates that he not only defeated Cena but also forced him to surrender. R-Truth interrupts the interview to demand that the Austrian stop disrespecting his childhood hero. "Every week you repeat the same song. And that makes you a piece of...", says R-Truth before finishing the sentence whispering in the Austrian's ear. R-Truth reminds him that this is the second time he warns him, and there won't be a third. Gunther laughs. "Is that supposed to be a challenge? See you in the ring", says "The General Manager" before leaving.
We see Olympic medalist Noah Lyles in the front row.
The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) make their entrance in the ring. Asuka recalls that last week she defeated Rhea Ripley. And the fact that fans thought "Mami" could beat her shows they are idiots. "IYO SKY should never have attacked me," says Sane. "And if she...". "KAIRIIII!", yells Asuka to demand her partner to give her the microphone. Fearful, Sane obeys. Asuka promises that next week IYO and Rhea will pay for disrespecting her because no one is ready for The Kabuki Warriors.
THIS IS MY BRUTALITY!
Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY head to the ring, only for the champions to leave it. Ripley and IYO go after them to start a fight. Rhea takes Asuka inside the ring. Meanwhile, Kairi throws SKY against the commentator's table. "The Genius of Sky's" back hits the edge of the table. Rhea comes to her aid. After hitting Sane, Ripley approaches IYO to check on her. Asuka surprises Rhea from behind. After that, she throws SKY over the public barrier. The Kabuki Warriors take Ripley inside the ring to launch a two-on-one assault. Kairi seeks height to execute an Insane Elbow, but IYO returns to prevent it. SKY makes Sane fall from the corner before kicking Asuka. Rhea and IYO get rid of the champions with a parallel running kick. The Kabuki Warriors recover on the entrance ramp as their enemies challenge them to return. This is how we reach the end of this segment.
CM Punk approaches Rey Mysterio backstage. The Mexican knows that CM Punk is here to offer his help against The Vision tonight. However, he wants "The Best in the World" to stay out of it because he has a championship to protect next week. Rey informs him that Paul Heyman is not the only one who knows how to ask for favors, ensuring that his back will be well covered tonight. A pensive CM Punk accepts his friend's decision. "Okay, buddy. Go get them. Get that victory," says CM Punk as he shakes his hand. "The Best in the World" leaves to end the segment.
Gunther makes his entrance. The Austrian climbs onto the commentator's table to enjoy the fans' boos. Gunther takes off his jacket to show a T-shirt with an image of the moment he held John Cena in a Gojira Clutch at Saturday Night's Main Event with the legend: "Surrender like a...". The Austrian takes a microphone and steps into the ring, but the audience continues to boo. "I made your superhero surrender like a little dog", he says before returning the microphone.

Winner by submission: Gunther
Jimmy Uso approaches a concerned Jey in the locker room. Jimmy asks him if he’s ready for tonight. Jey answers yes, but he doesn’t look convinced. Jimmy reminds him that they’re brothers and he can feel when something isn’t right. Tonight, he needs Jey by his side. Jey opens up to Jimmy, pointing out that he has the feeling that nothing has turned out the way he expected. "One thing is me ending up in a bad place, and something very different is dragging my brother down with me, and I don’t want to do that to you tonight, uce", says Jey. Jimmy assures him that it’s all in his head. Tonight, he needs the best version of his brother. The one who was World Champion. The one who was an eight-time Tag Team Champion alongside him. The one the fans adore. Jey assures him that’s how it will be. The two slap hands. "Together. Let’s get to work. I love you," says Jimmy before leaving. And with that, this segment comes to an end.
Byron Saxton interviews Finn Bálor in the stands area. The Irishman admits that 2025 has been a difficult year for The Judgment Day. Earlier tonight, Raquel Rodriguez failed in her attempt to capture the Women’s World Championship. In addition, both JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio will be sidelined for an indefinite period due to injuries. However, it’s Christmas, a time for hope. And that has made him think about his time in NXT here in Orlando. Finn recalls carrying the weight of the brand to lead it into the future. And while there are no leaders in The Judgment Day, he will take it upon himself to carry the weight of the faction on his shoulders. He will work hard to help McDonagh and Mysterio and to bring more gold to the faction in 2026.
Je'Von Evans approaches AJ Styles and Dragon Lee backstage to wish them luck in their title defense tonight. Surprised, "The Phenomenal One" asks him what he’s doing on Raw. "Honestly, I don’t know. Mr. Pearce wanted to talk to me, so I’m heading to his office right now", Evans replies. AJ Styles suggests that he put in a good word for Leon Slater. They’ve both been doing great, and he’d like to repeat what they did at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Je'Von slaps hands with the World Tag Team Champions, at which point Los Americanos interrupt the conversation. "Je'Von, I’ve got a question, güey. What are you doing here? Look at me, idiot! What are you doing here in our house, güey? Tell me!" exclaims El Grande Americano. Evans says he has a lot of respect for them before making it clear that he goes wherever he wants. El Grande Americano and Je'Von square up. AJ Styles and Dragon Lee step in alongside the NXT talent to back him up. Lee informs El Grande Americano that Je'Von isn’t alone, as both he and Styles have his back. "You feel real tough with two damn phonies? Damn idiots," says Dragon in Spanish. "Easy, güey. We’re all good, right? We’re friends," says El Grande Americano. "Alright, damn Dragon Güey. Don’t worry. But I swear: we’ll see each other very, very soon, gentlemen", he adds before leaving with his partners.
Paul Heyman approaches Austin Theory to welcome him to The Vision. Heyman points out that Austin has had a great night and hopes Rey Mysterio doesn’t ruin it. Theory assures him that won’t happen. Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed join their partners. Bron shakes Austin’s hand to make it clear that from now on, he’s got his back. Theory responds that he’s got all of theirs as well, while also acknowledging Reed as his "Tribal Thief." Logan Paul recalls that on his first day as a member of the faction, he was very nervous. However, Theory did a great job tonight. That said, he insists that they’ve all got his back. Heyman has an idea. "Walk him to the ring," says "The Oracle" to "The Maverick." That way, they can build bonds. Logan and Austin head toward the ring to bring this segment to an end.

The Mexicans stand by the ropes, daring the heels to come back. Instead, they choose to retreat backstage.
Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY send a video message to The Kabuki Warriors. Rhea claims that Asuka is delusional. She was the one who betrayed IYO, who attacked the Australian with the Poison Mist, and who uses Kairi Sane to attack them. "You claim that IYO betrayed your family and that I disrespected you. But the truth is that you’re the disrespectful one. You may have beaten me last week, but that was the first and last time, because Asuka, next week I’m going to break you," says the Australian.
"Kairi, you’re lost. It’s already too late for you. You chose the wrong path. Asuka, I’m stronger than you. You were my senpai, but now the student has surpassed the master. Next week, we’ll teach you a lesson in respect when we become the new Women’s Tag Team Champions," SKY adds to end the promo.
The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) and Grayson Waller interrupt Byron Saxton in the stands area. Waller asks the fans if they’re excited for tonight’s main event and which team they think will win. Kofi responds that whoever wins, everyone loses. Something they’re used to in Orlando, by the way. Kingston claims that the Raw tag team division will still be dead after tonight. Xavier knows many people are thinking that this is when they say they’ll wait for tonight’s result to claim their title shot. But they won’t, because they don’t need to. They are the greatest team of all time, whether people love them or hate them. Kofi even believes the audience should thank God for The New Day. Woods takes it further, ordering them to raise their arms to the sky and shout: "God, thank you for The New Day!"
Maxxine Dupri makes her entrance. Dupri asks the fans if they’re having a good Christmas, because she certainly is. And it’s thanks to all of them, because without their support she wouldn’t be holding the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. "You deserve it!" chant the fans. Maxxine recalls how she forced Becky Lynch to submit last week when she trapped her in an Ankle Lock and refused to let go. And with that same determination, she’ll hold on to her title and never let it go.
Becky Lynch interrupts
Becky makes it clear that she didn’t submit. In fact, the only thing she submitted to was living in Orlando. The fans boo her. "Don’t boo me because you lost me. Be happy because you had me," says "The Man." She wants to inspire them, because if they become rich and famous like her, they can get out of this city. Lynch is about to enter the ring, but Maxxine warns her. If Becky sets one foot on the canvas, she’ll have two options. Option A—her favorite—is to break her leg. Or option B: Lynch submits once again.
Becky enters the ring to make it clear that she’s only here to give her f..f...f...f.. give credit. Lynch admits that from the very beginning she thought Dupri was a terrible wrestler, but over the past few weeks she’s im..im..im..im... gotten a little better. Just enough to have the chance to steal the Intercontinental Championship from her. "Becky, the only thing I stole from you was the spotlight. I won this title. And if you don’t get it, I’ll make you understand next week. And you won’t come out here to blame the referee or to say there’s corruption. No, no, no. It’ll all be because of me, and I won’t be the only one saying it. Everyone will say it. Hey, even Sports Illustrated might say it. And Becky Lynch, you’ll say it too: Maxxine Dupri, Intercontinental Champion!" exclaims Dupri.
Furious, Becky insists that Maxxine isn’t on her level. Four weeks of training will never surpass a lifetime dedicated to this industry. Lynch lists her accomplishments as a wrestler, including being recognized as the “greatest wrestler of all time.” And it’s not just Sports Illustrated saying it—everyone is. Becky promises that this rivalry won’t end until she beats Maxxine. And she will, because she always does. The question is whether Dupri will be able to keep hiding from the world what Becky already knows. "You’re going to have to ask yourself if you are everything they (the fans) think you are. Or are you everything I know you are? Welcome to Big Time!" exclaims “The Man” before throwing the microphone onto the mat. The Irishwoman leaves the ring and heads back backstage. And with that, this segment comes to an end.
Adam Pearce is talking with Trick Williams in his office. Pearce points out that Williams is on the right brand before promising that he’ll work to have him on Monday nights. "Take your time, but don’t take too long. They want me too", says Trick as he slips a card with his phone number into Adam’s pocket. Williams leaves, and that’s when Bayley (in her heel persona) and Lyra Valkyria appear. The latter reminds Pearce that he promised to consider them for entry into the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship picture. There’s a title match next week, and they want to be next. Adam tries to respond, but as soon as he mentions Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez, an annoyed Bayley interrupts him. “The Role Model” reminds him that she beat Perez last week. Lyra calms her partner down to resume the conversation with Adam. He reminds Bayley that he can hear her. “I’m glad you can hear me. Hear this: YOU’RE AN IDIOT, okay?” exclaims “The Role Model” before storming off. “Yes, he is! He’s bald! He’s an idiot!” she keeps shouting as she walks away. Valkyria apologizes to the General Manager before thanking him for continuing to consider them. The Irishwoman leaves the office. “I need a drink,” says Pearce.
The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) make their entrance through the crowd. The Samoans yeet with the fans as they head toward the ring. Once there, the crowd asks for an encore, which they’re more than happy to give.

AJ Styles escapes from Jimmy and tags in Dragon. Lee surprises Jimmy with a hurricanrana and continues attacking him in the corner. Jimmy catches Lee off guard with an enzuigiri and tags in Jey. Jimmy clears off the commentary table, only for AJ Styles to crash into him with a Phenomenal Forearm. Now it’s Jey who dives onto AJ Styles with a suicide dive. “You and me, okay? You and me!” shouts Jey at his brother.
The Usos bring Lee back into the ring. Jey lands a headbutt on Dragon before trapping him in their corner. Jimmy gets the tag and delivers a chop to the masked man, then stomps on his hands. Jimmy uses the ropes to punish Lee, forcing the referee to intervene. Jey takes advantage to illegally strike the Mexican once again.
Jimmy charges with a Running Hip Attack. Dragon dodges, causing the Samoan to crash into the corner. Jey gets the tag to stop the Mexican from reaching his corner by striking AJ Styles, knocking him to ringside. The Usos continue to punish the masked man. Lee manages to fight back, crushing Jimmy in the corner with a double foot stomp. Both men collapse to the mat.
AJ Styles gets the tag and launches an offensive against both opponents. He hits Jey with an Ushigoroshi. 1..2..NO. Jey blocks the finisher of “The Phenomenal One” and then knocks out Dragon with a superkick. After that, he surprises AJ Styles with a spear. Winners and NEW World Tag Team Champions: THE USOS
Jimmy and Jey leave the ring and head into the crowd, where they celebrate with the fans. And with that, we reach the end of the final episode of WWE Raw of 2025.
