Stephanie Vaquer was one of the main characters in the first episode of WWE Raw in 2026. "La Primera" appeared on the show to be interviewed by Jackie Redmond after a great 2025, which ended with a successful defense of the Women's World Championship. It was then that fans noticed the Chilean was walking with difficulty with an orthopedic boot on her left leg.

During the interview, Vaquer assured that her injury would not affect her immediate plans, which reassured fans. However, a surprise attack by Raquel Rodriguez, who targeted the champion's ankle, made fans fear the worst, with many thinking it was a segment to justify her departure from the company's television programming, and that the title could be vacated.

Fortunately, this will not be the case. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Stephanie "was a bit banged up, but not to the point where it is expected that she will have to be absent for a long time". In fact, according to the journalist, for WWE this is a situation to some extent normal.

"There are several talents who are always dealing with bumps and discomfort (and we have heard of at least one other who is currently in that situation), so this was not described to us as something out of the ordinary," Johnson wrote about it.

At the moment, it is unknown how long Vaquer will stay away from the company's television programming. Rodriguez's brutal attack will serve as an excuse for her absence in the coming weeks, as well as laying the groundwork for the rivalry between the two women to continue upon the champion's return. On the other hand, "La Primera" holding onto the gold is an indication that she may recover in a relatively short period of time. Hopefully, she may be available for the Royal Rumble at the end of this month.
