Today we will enjoy a new live coverage of WWE SmackDown, which this time will be broadcast live from the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany. This will be the first weekly show of the company in this new European tour leading up to the Royal Rumble.
A highlight will be a new episode of the rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre, which will culminate in a Three Stages of Hell Match with the Undisputed WWE Championship on the line. Additionally, The Wyatt Sicks will once again face MFT, this time in a "family vs. family" tag team match. As always, we invite you to comment on the post to give your opinion on what happens on this week's blue brand show.
WWE SmackDown starts on Netflix!
We see the arrival of some of tonight's protagonists: Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes, Carmelo Hayes, Giulia (with Kiana James), and Alexa Bliss.
Randy Orton is the one to open the show. The fans welcome him with a great ovation before singing his theme "Voices" at the top of their lungs. "THEY TALK TO ME," they shout in unison. "The Viper" continues his path to the ring while greeting some fans in the front rows. Orton poses in one of the corners to end his entrance. "Randy, Randy, Randy!" the fans chant. Microphone in hand, Randy welcomes everyone to Friday Night SmackDown. "Randy, Randy, Randy!" they chant again. "I've had some months..." he begins to say before...
Trick Williams interrupts the promo
"Whoop that Trick!" the fans exclaim to welcome the new talent of the blue brand. Williams heads to the ring to ask for a microphone. Trick tries to address Orton, but the fans interrupt him with chants of "RKO." "In case you haven't heard yet, a new star has arrived and his name is Trick Williams," says the former NXT champion. Trick points out that everyone loves him. How could it be otherwise? "I'm 6'5 feet tall. 150 pounds. I have abs, three chains, two legs. I stand with all my presence. Randy Orton, you better do the math. We're not in 2006. We're in 2026. Let's talk about that," he says.
"You want to talk about that? Let's talk then," Orton replies. "I'm 6'5 feet tall. 270 pounds. I have five kids, a very sexy wife. I love lemon and pepper chicken. But the only number that matters in this count is 14, because it represents the number of world championships I've won." Randy acknowledges that he sees a future star in Williams. He has the physique, the mic skills, and the confidence needed for it. However, he believes he's not smart enough. If not, why, out of all the superstars he could have interrupted, did he choose him?
Trick appreciates Randy's words, whom he considers one of the greatest wrestlers in the business. However, he has come to SmackDown for one reason: to face the best. And yes, he has the brains and courage to stand in front of someone as big as Orton. Williams assures that he has great respect for him, and that's why he has traveled to Berlin to warn him. "This is no longer the year of The Viper. This is the year of Trick Williams. This is the year we're going to kick all that (Whoop that All) around the world," says Williams as he extends his hands turning his back to Randy.
"I don't know what they taught you in NXT, but someone should have warned you never to turn your back on The Viper. I'll let it pass this time. But if it happens again, I'm not going to Whoop that Trick, I'm going to kick your ass," says Randy. An upset Williams stands in front of Orton. Without a word, Trick hits the microphone of "The Viper," which ends up at ringside. Randy responds with a right hand to start an assault on Williams, to whom he applies a Modified DDT. Orton prepares to execute an RKO, but The Miz appears behind him to surprise him! The Miz is about to perform a Skull Crushing Finale, but Randy blocks it to respond with an RKO. The Miz and Trick end up at ringside. Orton poses in the ring before heading backstage. At that moment, Rey Fenix makes his entrance. The Mexican stops next to Randy. "Do me a favor: kick his ass," says Orton to the masked man before continuing his way.
Trick Williams vs. Rey Fenix
Williams faces off against Fenix before both measure their strengths. Trick surprises the Mexican from behind, grabbing him by the mask to knock him down to the mat. Rey quickly responds, applying several roll-ups that almost secure the victory. Trick counterattacks with a shoulder tackle before taking his opponent to one of the corners.
Williams unleashes an offensive based on the application of chops. Fenix demonstrates his great balance on the ropes to escape from the clutches of his opponent, to whom he applies a diving dropkick. Trick ends up at ringside. Rey tries to launch himself with a suicide dive, but Williams drops to the ground, interrupting Fenix's plans. He regains momentum, and at that moment, Trick returns to surprise him with a spinning kick. Williams finishes off the Mexican with a Broken Arrow. 1..2..NO.
Trick continues to punish his opponent inside and outside the ring. Williams throws Fenix against the metal stairs before bringing him back into the ring. Trick corners his opponent, where he kicks him at will. Fenix falls to ringside, where he tries to catch his breath. Rey returns, only to be surprised by a spinning kick. 1..2..NO. Williams lands several punches on his rival, who is still lying on the mat.
Fenix recovers to execute a combo of kicks on his opponent. Both men end up lying on the mat. Trick and Rey exchange attacks. Williams blocks a charge from the Mexican to respond with a pop-up uppercut. 1..2..NO. The action moves towards one of the corners. Rey unleashes a rain of elbows on Williams before throwing him to the mat with a hurricanrana. 1..2..NO.

Fenix recovers to execute an inverted tornado DDT. 1...2...NO. Rey performs a Tightrope Penalty Kick on Trick before launching himself at his opponent. Williams stops him in mid-air to look for a roll-up. Trick grabs the Mexican's pants to exert more pressure. 1...2...3.
Winner: Trick Williams
Byron Saxton interviews Giulia and Kiana James backstage. Byron asks the Italo-Japanese what it means to her to have regained the United States Championship. "Huh? My title? It's back where it belongs!", responds "The Beautiful Madness." James adds that her client has turned the women's division of SmackDown upside down, which she will soon dominate completely. Giulia promises that tonight she will set an example with Alexa Bliss, a legend of this division. "It's nothing personal, Byron. Just necessary," says Kiana as Giulia addresses the camera in Japanese. "Arrivederci," says the champion before leaving with her manager.
We see a video recap of last week's main event, an Ambulance Match that ended with Damian Priest's victory over Aleister Black.
Byron Saxton interviews Damian Priest backstage. Damian is relieved to have ended a rivalry that lasted half a year. And he did it by winning the war. As for his goals for 2026... well, he has seen many claiming an opportunity for the Undisputed WWE Championship. "I want to join that group, because I know that path will probably lead me to someone I have a lot of respect for, Cody Rhodes," says Priest. "Or...", says Drew McIntyre as he interrupts the interview. Damian is aware that McIntyre is very dangerous and that there is a possibility that he will win the top championship tonight. But if that happens, maybe they will face each other again. "Remind the world what happened to your brain, how it turned to mush the last time you and I were in a ring together. Good luck, warrior," says Damian before leaving.
Byron takes advantage of McIntyre's presence to interview him before his match tonight. "Emotions are running high. Not mine, but Cody's," says Drew as he recalls the hatred in Rhodes' eyes when last week he burned that photograph with his father in front of him. "That's why I can't imagine the look on his face when he sees that I have this," he says as he shows a gold watch. The Scotsman reveals that it is the same watch that Dusty Rhodes had to pawn to get money and secure Cody and his family's future. "And I can tell you what Cody's future will be: he will be disqualified in the first fall. And then I'll only need one more for, finally, finally, FINALLY! Drew McIntyre to be WWE Champion," says the Scotsman as he smiles maliciously with the watch in his hand.
We see Alexa Bliss talking on the phone with Charlotte Flair. Alexa assures "The Queen" that she was unaware that she would have a title opportunity tonight, which is why she hadn't told her anything. Flair, on the other hand, seems to be sick with the flu. Bliss asks her to take care of herself before hanging up. Nia Jax and Lash Legend appear on the scene to mock Alexa. Nia suggests that "The Queen" simply didn't show up because she couldn't stand not being the center of attention. "I think you say that because it's something you would do," Bliss replies. She then turns to Lash. "As someone who has been in your position, I'll give you some advice: leave her before she drags you down," says Alexa. "And now, if you'll excuse me, I have a match to attend to," she adds before heading to the ring. Jax asks Legend not to pay attention to Alexa. And so we reach the end of this segment.
We see influencer and footballer Sidney Friede in the front row.

Winner and STILL United States Champion: Giulia
Giulia and James head back to backstage as Legend and Nia Jax enter the ring to mock Alexa. Nia pulls her to her feet to whip her into Lash, who greets her with a right hand. Legend positions a knocked-out Bliss near one of the corners so Jax can finish her off with an Annihilator. "The Irresistible Force" and "The Boujee Bully" pose in the center of the ring as the segment comes to an end.
We head backstage, where Nick Aldis welcomes Jordynne Grace after she officially signed her Superstar contract with the blue brand. "Jordynne, you’ve made the right decision. It’s a great pleasure for me to officially welcome you to SmackDown", says the General Manager. Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre interrupt the conversation. Green doesn’t understand how Aldis can waste his time with Grace and ignore the "almost last United States Champion." With that said, she reminds him that she still hasn’t received her rematch. Nick points out that right now he’s busy finalizing Jordynne’s contract as the brand’s newest Superstar. In fact, he would like the Canadian to be the first one to welcome her to the brand. However, that’s something Green couldn’t care less about. Grace states that she won’t be a diva like some of the women in this locker room. Alba steps up to Jordynne, advising her to watch her tone when speaking to Chelsea. "Why don’t you make me?" Grace asks. Tension rises, but Aldis restores order. The General Manager was looking for an opponent for Grace’s debut, and now he’s found one. Tonight, Jordynne will go one-on-one with Alba. "I can’t wait," says "The Juggernaut" before walking away. "And what about me?" Chelsea asks. Nick advises her to help Fyre prepare for her match. "Insufferable even in Germany," Green says before leaving with Alba. Aldis is about to return to his office when Kit Wilson appears on the scene. The Brit laments the growing toxicity in SmackDown before showing off his injuries from last week’s match against Matt Cardona. "Wake up, Nick! Matt Cardona is the embodiment of toxic masculinity. What are you going to do about it?" Kit asks. "Those are very valid arguments. Keep them coming", replies the General Manager before heading back into his office. "He just slammed the door on me..." mutters an annoyed Wilson. "You’re toxic!" he shouts at the office door as the segment comes to an end.
Byron Saxton interviews Matt Cardona backstage. Cardona says he’s happy to be back in the company after nearly six years away. Cardona recalls that after his departure, he had three options in front of him. One, feel sorry for himself, let negativity take over, and fade away like a shadow. Two, live off the name Zack Ryder. Or three, leave that name behind and reinvent himself. Break his back doing whatever it took to return to WWE. "And I chose the third option," Matt says to end the interview. Cardona approaches Cody Rhodes to greet him. The two shake hands and hug. Cody welcomes him back to WWE. Cardona thanks him before wishing him luck in his match tonight. With that said, he makes it clear that he’s returned with one goal in mind: winning the Undisputed WWE Championship. "Well, we’ll talk after I’m done with Drew", Rhodes says before picking up his title. Cody hugs Matt once again before leaving. "Good luck," Cardona says as his friend walks away.
We see a promotional video for the upcoming tag team match.

Erick disposes of Loa with a dropkick before knocking Tama down with a crossbody. Talla enters the ring to trade blows with Rowan. Both men crawl toward their respective corners to tag in Solo and Howdy.
Howdy and Sikoa exchange strikes. Howdy avoids a Samoan Spike and responds with a uranage. Tama tags in just before Solo is forced out of the ring. Howdy drops Tama with a uranage. Howdy strikes Loa to keep him from entering the ring before attacking JC Mateo on the apron. Howdy locks Mateo in a Mandible Claw when he suddenly notices something: Solo is holding Bray Wyatt’s lantern.
Howdy releases JC to approach the ropes, at which point Tama tries to ambush him from behind. Howdy turns around to catch him, ready to execute his Sister Abigail, but Talla stops him with a big boot. Talla strikes Rowan to keep him from entering the ring. Meanwhile, Tama finishes Howdy off with his Cut Throat. 1..2..3.

The Wyatts attend to Howdy in the ring as they watch Solo retreat with his men, still in possession of the lantern. "I told you: I’ve got the world in my hands", says Sikoa as the segment comes to an end.
We see a smiling The Miz leaving Nick Aldis’ office. Carmelo Hayes runs into him. The Miz informs Hayes that he has secured an opportunity that could lead him to winning the Undisputed WWE Championship. After that, he could answer Carmelo’s open challenge and become a three-time Grand Slam Champion. Hayes says that he’ll be issuing a challenge later tonight and encourages Miz to respond if he wishes. The Miz reminds him that he was attacked by Randy Orton and isn’t physically ready. "There’s always next week. Right, Randy?" Carmelo asks. The Miz quickly turns around, only to realize his former partner is messing with him. "If you need another week to prepare, just say so," Melo says before walking away. The United States Champion then runs into Ilja Dragunov. Melo says he’s a man of his word. Last week he took care of Johnny Gargano, so now he can defend his title against the Russian. "I’m about to issue an open challenge. It would be an honor if you accepted," says "HIM". Ilja places his hands on Carmelo’s shoulders. Dragunov assures him that they will face each other again, but not now. In fact, he’s about to speak with Aldis about a... different matter. "Sorry," Dragunov says before entering the General Manager’s office. Carmelo sighs in relief before continuing on his way.

"The Storm" heads backstage as the segment comes to an end.
Byron Saxton interviews Sami Zayn backstage. Saxton asks the Canadian about tonight’s main event. Sami hopes and wants Cody Rhodes to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship. Not only because he’s his friend, but because he’s a great champion, the best WWE has had in years. However, he admits that part of him would like to see Drew McIntyre become champion. That way, Zayn would have a double goal: winning the title and defeating the one man he has never beaten. Still, if he had to pick a winner, it would be Rhodes.
Carmelo Hayes makes his entrance to the ring to issue his open challenge.
We see Nathan Frazer warming up backstage. Axiom approaches him, dressed in street clothes. Surprised, Frazer asks why he isn’t getting ready to answer Hayes’ challenge. Axiom remains silent. Nathan then notices that his partner is wearing the mask that was taken from him weeks ago. "How did you get it back?" Frazer asks, before the masked man suddenly throws a right hand. "Axiom" continues to assault Frazer until Candice LeRae arrives. She restrains Nathan, who finally realizes that his attacker is Johnny Gargano. Gargano smiles as he reveals his face. "Sorry, buddy," he says. The real Axiom appears on the scene, causing the heels to flee. "Are you stupid? Can’t you see that wasn’t me?" he asks in Spanish. Axiom crouches down beside Frazer to check on him.

Byron Saxton approaches Cody Rhodes backstage. Saxton apologizes for interrupting his moment of solitude. Rhodes says there’s no such thing as solitude for a WWE Champion, because he’s always surrounded by the best. As for tonight’s opponent, Rhodes is fully aware of what the Scotsman is trying to do. First he burned a photo of his father, and now he has his watch. "I tell everyone all the time: when you want to talk about my father, when you want to talk about his legacy, when you bring all of that up in this situation… it’s so unnecessary. It’s nothing more than a cheap trick", he says. Cody believes his rivals don’t put in the work and think bringing up his father is enough to hurt him. And when they finally realize it isn’t, it’s already too late. Rhodes adds that after tonight, all eyes will be on Royal Rumble. "And you know what that means: WrestleMania. Thank you, Byron," Rhodes says to end the interview.
Nick Aldis cuts a promo from his office. The General Manager reminds us that tonight, SmackDown will host the first-ever Three Stages of Hell Match in its history. The winner won’t have time to rest, as there are dozens of potential challengers eager for a shot at the top title. That’s why he’s decided not to waste any time. Aldis announces that next week, four qualifying matches will take place for a fatal four-way bout at the next edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event. The winner will earn a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship at Royal Rumble.
We see a promotional video for tonight’s main event.
