Ava will announce the future of the NXT Championship next week

NXT New Year's Evil had an unexpected ending when Oba Femi, who had just defended the NXT Championship against Leon Slater, left the title in the ring. Fans interpreted this gesture as a farewell to the brand, thus leaving the championship vacant. This was confirmed by the company the following day.

With Femi ready to take the next step in his professional career on the WWE main roster, it remains to be seen who will be entrusted with carrying the brand's top gold. This question may find its answer in the upcoming weekly episode of NXT.

Through their social media channels, WWE has confirmed a new segment for next Tuesday's show, where Ava will announce the future of the NXT Championship. Currently, there are no clues about the decision the General Manager will make regarding this matter, although she has encouraged fans to share their "most unconventional and non-traditional wrestling ideas on how to crown the next champion".
