WWE is currently facing a creative crisis in the eyes of a good portion of the fans, who have not welcomed some of the decisions the company has made in recent times, including the complicated construction that the WrestleMania 42 card is experiencing. To all this we must add a series of changes that have taken place within the creative teams of WWE's main brands.

To the recent departure of Road Dogg is added the promotion of Alexandra Williams, who has been promoted to Vice President and head writer of Monday Night Raw. "I am happy to share that I am starting a new position as Vice President/Head Writer at WWE," she wrote on her Linkedin profile. She previously served as a senior writer and producer.

"As VP and Head Writer of WWE's flagship live program, I oversee all the creative development of Monday Night RAW, one of the longest-running and highest-rated cable television shows. I pitch ideas and collaborate with executive leadership and a multidisciplinary team of writers to conceptualize and execute weekly storylines, character arcs, and the build-up to live premium events, including WrestleMania and Survivor Series.

I help drive the entire creative process, from episode planning to long-term narrative strategy, developing complex characters and engaging rivalries that deepen audience engagement on live broadcasts, digital platforms, and social media. My work is based on an analytical approach: I track segment performance, audience trends, and viewing data to make programming decisions in real-time and long-term.

In collaboration with talent, producers, and brand management, I have contributed to record attendance at live events and revenue growth, helping position RAW as the cornerstone of WWE's content ecosystem under the TKO umbrella," Williams wrote.

With this promotion, there are now two confirmed changes in the creative teams of Raw and SmackDown. It is striking that this restructuring is taking place less than two months before WrestleMania 42, with a card still to be finalized. Likewise, it remains to be seen whether these changes will help improve the creative landscape, at least from the viewer's perspective.
