The WrestleMania 42 weekend brought together thousands of fans in the city of Las Vegas, ready to experience the most anticipated event of the year. However, not all of them behaved civilly. Many talents were harassed by some fans, especially at the hotel where WWE superstars were staying.
Talents like CM Punk, Bayley, AJ Lee, and Damian Priest had their ups and downs with fans, largely due to the lack of security at the venue. One of the affected individuals, Booker T, has expressed his opinion on the matter, calling for fans to show more self-control and for more efficient security for talents in the future.
"I want to address the fans. The fans were completely out of control in Las Vegas. I love my fans, I really do, but I'm going to say it straight: you really need to understand what wrestlers go through sometimes and give them their space. After the show, you see them working non-stop, and then you come and disrespect them when they're with their kids, wives, and families. Then something happens, one of them gets upset, and you see it on social media. We are human. After such an event, the show is over. Give the wrestlers some rest and space. It's exhausting, really," he said on his podcast Hall of Fame.
"As I walked through the MGM Grand, we need better security. It was really tough. I can only imagine how the superstars felt, because I was surrounded and I'm not even active anymore. I hope we can fix that. I wish we had better security. It was very bad, the worst I've seen," he concluded.
