The status of Brock Lesnar with WWE continues to generate confusion after his profile was moved to the Alumni section on the official website. However, a new report from PWInsider indicates that internally he is still considered an active talent within the company.

The same information points out that Lesnar is classified as a free agent, which means he is not assigned to any specific brand. However, he still does not appear in the section of free agents on the official site, where names like Omos, AJ Lee, and Paige are listed as free agents.

The debate has been ongoing, as after his loss to Oba Femi at WrestleMania 42, Lesnar left his gloves and boots in the ring, which many interpreted as a symbolic retirement. This was followed by the move of his profile to Alumni, a detail usually associated with individuals who are no longer active roster members.

Dave Meltzer, on the other hand, wrote in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that many within WWE do not believe that was a real retirement and were asked to treat it as an angle. He even suggested that, based on how the situation was handled, the plan for a definitive farewell may have been more towards SummerSlam, in Minneapolis.

For now, the key point is that the company has not provided a coherent public explanation between its website and internal classification. This leaves open the possibility that Lesnar may still be available for a future storyline, although his visual status on WWE.com may suggest otherwise.
