The relationship between WWE and All Elite Wrestling has been tense since Tony Khan's company entered the professional wrestling business. However, over time, we have seen a noticeable change in the behavior of the AEW president, much more restrained towards the competition than in its beginnings.

Recently, Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer published a report hinting that within WWE there was speculation about AEW's future from 2027 onwards due to Paramount's purchase of Warner Bros. This issue was raised to Khan during the press conference after ROH: Supercard of Honor, and the AEW president maintained his new moderate stance.

"Today I saw something, and it's just a report, I don't know if this is true. It could be true, but many reports have some basis, although you never know firsthand when you're hearing third-hand reports. I saw a report today where someone in WWE is telling people within WWE, talking about AEW's next TV deal and what we are doing. That surprised me," he said.

"All I will say is that what they said couldn't be further from the truth," he continued. They are entitled to their opinions. I have been trying to be respectful to them and try to behave like a gentleman. Let them talk in the background and spread these things... I'm just going to turn the other cheek. Maybe a couple of years ago I wouldn't have handled it this way."

According to Meltzer's report, Paramount would not renew the agreement AEW signed with Warner Bros. If they do, it was said that the offer would be lower than their current TV contract. This contract will be valid until 2027, with an extension option to 2028. Regardless of these types of reports, Tony Khan has always been very confident in the continuity of his product on television.
