Cathy Kelley interviews Ethan Page in the men's locker room. "All Ego" points out that tonight is not only the biggest of his career but also Cathy's, who has had the opportunity to interview him on his last night WITHOUT the Intercontinental Championship. In fact, this is also the most important night in the history of the title, as it will finally have the focus it deserves. Ethan acknowledges that Penta is a fighting champion, but he only retains the title because he hasn't faced him yet. And that will change tonight.

Cathy Kelley interviews Sol Ruca in the Gorilla Position. Sol makes it clear that she is ready for her match tonight. The question is if Becky Lynch is. Ruca acknowledges that "The Man" is one of the greatest in history, but she is also making the mistake of underestimating her. And that will cost her tonight when her soul is taken away. Ruca's theme music starts playing, and she heads to the ring.

Becky Lynch leaves her locker room to head to the ring. "The Man" reminds us that she is the greatest wrestler of all time. Bleacher Report says so. Sports Illustrated says so. And after tonight, Fort Wayne will say so too.

Sol Ruca vs. Becky Lynch

Lynch poses with the Intercontinental Championship in front of her rival. Suddenly, she throws it into her arms, distracting her long enough to hit her with a right hook. Ruca falls to the mat, where she continues to receive punches from the Irishwoman. Jessika Carr, the referee of the match, orders "The Man" to step away from Sol. Becky confronts the official, ordering her to ring the bell.

Lynch goes back after Ruca, who surprises her with a right hook. Becky falls to the mat. Jessika looks at the Irishwoman, at which point she decides the match must begin. The bell rings, and Ruca continues her assault on Becky. She can do little to stop her opponent's onslaught. Sol throws Lynch out of the ring before launching herself with a moonsault.

The action returns to the ring. Ruca prepares to execute a Sol Snatcher. Becky realizes this and grabs Carr's arm to place her in Ruca's path, who ends up hitting the finisher on the official. Lynch smiles as she catches her breath on the barricade. Sol bends down to check on Jessika, who eventually ends the match.

Winner by disqualification of her opponent: Sol Ruca

Becky's smile disappears upon learning the referee's decision. Upset, "The Man" returns to the ring to surprise Sol from behind. The Irishwoman executes three Manhandle Slams on the former NXT North American Champion before heading back backstage.

Penta stars in a promotional video before his title match against Ethan Page. The Mexican wants "All Ego" to stop talking about the Intercontinental Championship and face him. "The difference between you and me is that you are an arrogant and conceited clown, and I fight for my people and my championship. Ethan Page, tonight you will learn why Penta has ZERO FEAR!", he exclaims to end the video.

A furious Becky Lynch approaches Nick Aldis backstage to express her displeasure after being declared the loser in her match tonight. "It wasn't me who hit the referee!", exclaims "The Man". Aldis knows very well what happened, as does Adam Pearce. And both agree that Becky will face Sol again at WWE Clash in Italy. "For what purpose?", asks an indignant Lynch. "To defend the Women's Intercontinental Championship, of course", responds the SmackDown General Manager before leaving.

Cathy Kelley interviews Nia Jax and Lash Legend backstage. Legend acknowledges that Brie Bella and Paige were great wrestlers in their time, but currently, they cannot compare to two younger and stronger women like them. That said, she points out that it's time to end their "nostalgia tour". "Paige. Brie. Tonight, we will make history by turning you into history", says Jax to end the interview.

Cathy Kelley interviews Paige and Brie Bella backstage. Brie has nothing but words of gratitude for Paige, who didn't hesitate to replace her sister when she got injured. Both trust each other, and although they are seen as the underdogs in their match tonight. But they already defeated The Irresistible Forces once, and they will do it again. The Briton, on her part, acknowledges that events have unfolded in a way that no one expected. It was supposed to be Nikki and not her who would be here now holding the gold. And they are also supposed to lose tonight because they are the underdogs. "But you know what? We're going to win," says Paige to end the interview.
