Marcel Barthel (Ludwig Kaiser) will be able to travel freely outside of the United States territory. Judge Andrew Cameron, who presides over the criminal case against the WWE superstar, has approved today the motion requesting that the wrestler be allowed to travel both within the United States and internationally during the course of the legal proceedings against him. The judge's order also stipulates that Barthel is required to appear at all future court dates.

Barthel was arrested last week for alleged assault. The victim claimed that the superstar repeatedly hit him for reprimanding him for inappropriate behavior in an elevator. Later, journalist Raj Giri reported that the argument had started after a xenophobic comment by the complainant, and that Barthel had not laid hands on him. This afternoon, PWInsider published more information about the case.

"Barthel pleaded not guilty after learning that there was an arrest warrant against him for charges of physical assault and after traveling from Mexico to Florida to surrender to authorities," the outlet wrote.

"An arrest affidavit filed in Orange County, Florida, reveals details about the assault charge against Barthel. According to the affidavit, the Orlando Police responded to an apartment complex (we do not disclose the address) around 6:37 PM on 04/23 after receiving reports of a physical altercation on the 12th floor of the building.

The complainant, identified as Richard Reap, told officers that he entered an elevator around 6:30 PM and encountered Barthel with an unidentified woman. Reap alleged that both were behaving in a manner he described as 'uncontrollably intimate' inside the elevator.

Reap stated that, after exiting on the 12th floor, he told the couple, 'please, have some manners.' According to the affidavit, Reap claimed that Barthel immediately responded by hitting him several times, pushing him to the ground, and threatening him with more violence.

The responding officer noted a recent scratch and redness on the back of Reap's head, which the police considered consistent with a recent altercation.

The affidavit indicates that officers also reviewed surveillance footage from the 12th floor, where allegedly a white man is seen hitting and pushing Reap out of the elevator at the time of the incident. The footage has not been released.

Subsequently, the police identified Marcel Barthel as a suspect through investigative methods. The affidavit states that Reap later identified Barthel in a photo lineup of six individuals conducted that same night.

Based on the investigation, officers determined that there was probable cause to file a charge of simple assault under Florida Statute 784.03(1)(A). The order specifies that there were no allegations related to weapons, firearms, intoxication, or cohabitation between the parties involved.

According to reports, Barthel was ordered not to have contact with victims or witnesses and was granted a single supervised visit to the apartment accompanied by law enforcement."

The legal case against Barthel comes at the worst possible time, with the German wrestler living the peak of his professional career. His character of El Grande Americano has won over the Mexican fans, becoming the most acclaimed and beloved star of AAA. Next, he will compete in a highly anticipated "mask vs. mask" match against Original El Grande Americano at Noche de los Grandes.
