AMC and TNA+ aired last night episode number 1,144 of TNA Thursday Night iMPACT!, recorded from the National Western Center in Denver, Colorado. The show, the twenty-fourth of the AMC era, featured several matches and segments of interest, highlighting The System's victory over Moose and The Hardys in the main event of the night, which ended with an exchange of words between Mike Santana and Nic Nemeth.
- Xia Brookside was in charge of opening the show. The fans greeted her with loud boos. "You think I did something wrong, as if I had committed an unforgivable crime because I betrayed my best friend", said the British before reveling in that moment. Xia pointed out that her destiny was to become a star, but she ended up lost in the darkness because of Léi Yǐng Lee. That's why she enjoyed seeing her friend's puppy face when she betrayed her. Brookside was also convinced that Lee would return, because she's an idiot. And that will allow her to reach Slammiversary, where she will finally get what she deserves: the Knockouts World Championship.
Léi Yǐng Lee interrupted the segment. "Xia, I treated you like a little sister. I trusted you. But now I see who you are. You are a snake... No, no, no. You are a rat", said the champion. Brookside didn't take long to interrupt her to warn her to be careful with her words. Lee then addressed her in Chinese. Xia assured her that she didn't care at all about what she had to say and, of course, she wasn't going to translate for the audience. Lee then got into the ring to make it clear that she didn't need her to keep translating for her. "I said we don't need to wait for Slammiversary. I'm going to kick your ass here and now!", exclaimed Lee. Brookside tried to escape, but the champion prevented her, leading to a fight that had to be stopped by several security members. Xia continued to provoke Lee, who got rid of several guards to reach her enemy. However, Brookside used one of the security members to receive an attack in her place and thus escape from the ring. The segment ended with Brookside on the ground as Lee challenged her to return.
- Gia Miller interviewed Mike Santana before his tag team match. The TNA World Champion recalled what happened last week with Nic Nemeth, pointing out that this is the reason why he never trusts anyone. That said, he noted that Daria Rae is determined to make his life a living hell, but he is prepared for it. Finally, he addressed Nemeth, promising to knock him out with a Spin the Block at Slammiversary to retain his title. KC Navarro interrupted the interview to remind Santana that that night wasn't about Nemeth, but about Order 4. That's why they should work together. Mike agreed with Navarro, hoping he would remember who would watch his back that night.
- Mike Santana, KC Navarro, and Nic Nemeth defeated Mustafa Ali and The Great Hands (John Skyler and Jason Hotch) (with Special Agent 0 and Tasha Steelz) in a tag team match. Santana applied a double rolling cutter on Hotch and Skyler before Nemeth finished them off with a double Danger Zone. Santana and Nemeth covered their opponents at the same time for the victory.
The tensions between Nemeth and Santana continued after the match, leading Navarro to intervene to separate them. At that moment, Ryan Nemeth appeared out of nowhere to attack Mike. Navarro grabbed Ryan to take him to one of the corners, where he reprimanded him for his actions. A furious Santana launched himself at Ryan, but he moved away just in time for the champion to accidentally knock out Navarro. Finally, Nic took down Santana with a precise superkick to close the segment.
- Nic Nemeth approached a hurt KC Navarro backstage to ask if he was okay. Navarro replied yes before thanking him for his concern. Nemeth advised him not to trust Mike Santana. Ryan Nemeth burst onto the scene to mock Navarro, claiming he got what he deserved. Navarro didn't hesitate to confront the younger Nemeth, leading Nic to intervene. At that moment, a furious Santana appeared, ready to fight Nic, but several security members prevented it. Navarro then asked Nic to leave. Once alone, Santana asked Navarro if he was okay. KC replied yes before thanking him for his concern. After that, he strongly advised him to forget about what happened tonight and focus exclusively on his match at Slammiversary.
- Frankie Kazarian presented a new edition of The King's Speech. Kazarian announced that the Ultimate X will return at Slammiversary, and he will be one of the participants in the match. Frankie boasted of being the creator of this match and the man who has participated in it the most times. That's why fans should be grateful to him when they raise their arms in excitement during the fight. That said, he introduced his guests, also participants in the Ultimate X: Leon Slater and Cedric Alexander.
Kazarian reminded Slater that he was just one day away from becoming the X-Division Champion with the longest reign in TNA history, but Alexander snatched that achievement from him. "How does it feel?" he asked. "I'd be lying if I said it didn't hurt," Slater replied. "I'm glad it HURTS!", exclaimed Cedric. Leon made it clear to Alexander that he has no idea what it feels like to fail when so many people are supporting you. However, he wasn't going to make excuses because Cedric beat him fair and square. Alexander continued shouting as he recalled how everyone talked about Leon as someone special when the reality is that he's not on the same level. And that's something he proved when he defeated him to take away the championship. "I snatched your dream when you were just a day away from achieving it!", Alexander exclaimed. Furious, Leon pushed the champion, raising the tension of the moment. Frankie stepped in between them to make it clear that it was his show. He also advised them to save their anger for the Ultimate X. A match, on the other hand, that still had three spots to fill. However, it didn't matter who their opponents were, because he will be the winner. Kazarian ordered his theme music to play to end the segment.
A.J. Francis starred in a promotional video about his role as a music mogul. Francis tried to get emotional, pointing out that his dream had always been music and not professional wrestling. After that, he referred to Elijah, a man he wanted to collaborate with. However, he decided to break his heart. Francis ended the video by stating that his goal is to be an inspiration to the next generation of music moguls, whom he wants to teach the value of owning the music rights of others.
- Ricky Sosa defeated Dak Draper after applying a Blue Thunder Bang. Eric Young was present at the commentary table during the match.
- The Elegance Brand as a whole went to Daria Rae's office to ask her to have Mr. Elegance be part of the Ultimate X at Slammiversary. The faction tried to convince the TNA Chief Operating Officer that Mr. Elegance deserved that opportunity. "He is LITERALLY perfect," said Ash By Elegance. Rae finally accepted the suggestion, officially announcing that Mr. Elegance will be one of the participants in the match. Indi Hartwell passed by the faction, accidentally bumping into Ash. The Elegance Brand wasted no time mocking Hartwell, reminding her that she had a match coming up. Indi advised Ash to watch her match. That way, she could learn a thing or two. Hartwell continued on her way to end the segment.
- Indi Hartwell defeated Elayna Black after a roll-up. Ash By Elegance and Black attacked Hartwell after the match, but an intervention by Mara Sadé (who had watched the match from the commentary table) forced the heels to retreat.
- Fabian Aichner approached Santino Marella backstage. Fabian pointed out that his goal in TNA is not to prove he's the best wrestler on the roster, but one of the best in the world. And after what happened with The System a few weeks ago, he felt he deserved to be in the Ultimate X. Aicher appealed to the Director of Authority "Italian to Italian." Santino recalled that Daria Rae had included Mr. Elegance in the match, so it was only fair that he did the same. That's why he announced to Fabian that he would be in that match. At that moment, Nic Nemeth appeared, also speaking some Italian, to convince Marella to include KC Navarro in the Ultimate X. Once he achieved his goal, Nemeth left, leaving a surprised Aicher behind.
- Mike Santana interrupted Gia Miller backstage to address Nic Nemeth directly, challenging him to deal with their issues face to face.
- The System (Eddie Edwards, Bear Bronson, and Brian Myers) (with Alisha Edwards) defeated Moose and The Hardys (Broken Matt and Brother Nero) in a tag team match. Alisha took advantage of the chaos in the final minutes of the match to hit Moose's head with a kendo stick. Eddie finished him off with a Boston Knee Party for the victory.
- Mike Santana stormed into the ring to demand the presence of Nic Nemeth. However, it was his brother Ryan who came out. "EVERYONE knows that my OLDER brother is the BEST wrestler in the world and the NEXT TNA World Champion!", Ryan shouted from the top of the entrance ramp. "Actually, your OLDER brother is a BIG bitch!", Santana retorted. Ryan tried to defend his brother's honor, but the fans kept booing him. Meanwhile, Santana continued waiting for Nic. He didn't take long to appear. Nic mocked Mike and his sentimentality just over a week before their match at Slammiversary. Nic assured that everyone knows who of them is the best and that Santana is simply enjoying a "borrowed time" as champion. "At Slammiversary, you will have to call me champion," said Nic. Santana, on the other hand, reminded him that he was still on the entrance ramp while he was waiting for him in the ring. "Stay there. I'll see you at Slammiversary, where I'll hit you with a Spin the Block to rip your head off and remain the TNA World Champion!", exclaimed Mike. He raised the brand's title to end the segment and the episode.
