Piper Niven stopped appearing on WWE's television programming last summer, shortly after the European tour for Clash in Paris. At that time, Chelsea Green indicated that her partner was on a "super-secret special mission," although fans were already aware that Niven was injured.

Since then, much has been said about Piper's condition, with some media outlets reporting that the severity of the injury could end the wrestler's career. In May, she underwent an anterior cervical discectomy, a surgical procedure used to treat pinched nerves, herniated discs, or spinal cord compression in the neck.

Many fans have started to assume that Niven will never compete again. This is the case of the user X paige babes, who wrote the following after the Scottish wrestler's latest livestream: "After watching Piper's livestream yesterday and knowing that there is a possibility that she may never be able to wrestle again, I just want to say: thank you, Piper, for being the incredible person you are and for all these years of kindness you have shown. Slaygent and Doudrop will live forever! Thank you for all the memories!".

The message reached Piper, who responded to the tweet to make it clear that her future is still unwritten: "Don’t count me out just yet chick, just letting people know that it will be a long time and maybe possibly not at all so we don’t have to answer the same question 50 times a stream," she wrote.

Currently, Piper is still under contract with WWE. Alba Fyre, her partner from The Secret Hervice, was released by the company in the most recent wave of layoffs. Chelsea Green, on the other hand, has started a new storyline in which she aims to be the partner of the new United States Champion, Tiffany Stratton.
