Last night, a new edition of WWE Night of Champions took place in the city of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The show started off with a bang, featuring the highly anticipated finals of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments. The second of these matches crowned IYO SKY as the new Queen of the Ring after defeating Women's World Champion Liv Morgan.

Liv entered the match with a significant handicap. Just minutes before the fight began, Morgan was cursed by Danhausen after threatening and slapping the peculiar character. IYO and Liv kept things even in the early stages of the match. This changed drastically after the world champion pushed the Japanese wrestler onto the metal stairs, injuring her left leg in the process.

As it had happened in her semifinal against Charlotte Flair, Morgan wasted no time in targeting her opponent's injured area. Despite the pain, SKY was able to fight back, blocking her opponent's ObLIVion and then surprising her with a Spanish Fly. With Liv dazed, "The Genius of Sky" executed a decisive Over the Moonsault to add another achievement to her impressive WWE career.

After the match, and with the crown now in her possession, IYO wasted no time in revealing her intentions as Queen of the Ring. "Liv, I'll see you at Summerslam!", exclaimed the Japanese wrestler, challenging the Women's World Champion to the biggest event of the summer. With this move, SKY hopes to capture her third top championship in WWE, a year after losing her last individual gold in the company.
