Megan Morant and Sam Roberts are in charge of presenting the Countdown Show of the first NXT PLE on The CW.
Blake Howard interviews Wren Sinclair backstage. Sinclair points out that her match tonight means everything to her, as it will set a new foundation for her. Sinclair recalls that, after the dissolution of No Quarter Catch Crew, the only group where she felt a sense of belonging, she was able to reinvent herself by creating WrenQCC and winning the WWE Women's Speed Championship. And now, she will finally have her first individual match in an NXT PLE. Howard notes that Sinclair is considered an underdog, just like her opponent tonight, Arianna Grace, but she managed to rise to win the Knockouts World Championship. Now, with BirthRight by her side, she wants the championship that Wren holds. She knows what Arianna is capable of, who will also have her ex-partner Charlie Dempsey by her side. However, both will face each other in a crazy five-minute match where anything can happen. Sinclair doesn't want to underestimate Grace, but she won't make things easy for her either. Howard recalls the knee injury that has kept Wren away from the ring often. "Is your knee at 100%?" he asks. Wren acknowledges that it has been frustrating, but now she is fine. She trusts it. Regarding Kendal Grey, Wren assures that she would love to be in her corner when she faces Lola Vice for the NXT Women's Championship. She has been her best friend this past year, and she doesn't want her presence to cost her the victory. She just wants Kendal to focus on defeating Lola while she does the same with Grace. Howard thanks her for her time to end the interview.
Blake Howard interviews Myles Borne backstage. Borne points out that his match tonight is very special, as for the first time he will face someone very close to him. Someone he considers a brother. Despite everything, he will treat this match like any other: just business. Myles assures that Heights deserves opportunities and titles, it will be a privilege for him to defend his NXT North American Championship against his best friend. "I want him to succeed, but the truth is he won't get the result he expects. On Sunday, he wants to prove who he is. I want to prove that he can't break me", he says. Howard thanks him for his time and wishes him luck for his match.
Sarah Schreiber interviews Tristan Angels backstage. The British justifies his attack on Shiloh Hill during his "Mr. NXT Pageant," stating that his enemy had disrespected him. Sarah reminds him that Hill has promised to punish him for that. Does that make him nervous? "Nervous? I've never been nervous about anything in my life", Tristan replies. He laments his title loss last Tuesday because of Hill, stating that it should have ended in disqualification. However, it resulted in his first defeat on the brand. Angels assures that he was born to be a star, and he will prove it at The Great American Bash, where he will also show the world that Shiloh Hill is "a bull without horns." Sarah asks him about a possible defeat in the PLE, which annoys the British. He points out that he has conquered beauty pageants in England and around the world and now comes to conquer the United States and The Great American Bash. Sarah thanks him for his time and wishes him luck in his match. "I don't need it," says Tristan before leaving.
Emily Agard interviews Robert Stone at the party organized outside the Performance Center. As in previous years, Hank Walker and Tank Ledger are in charge of the food. Kevin Owens and Dave LaGreca, present at the party, share their feelings about tonight's show.

Nattie points out that there are too many "soft" women in this industry, like Jaida Parker, and that's not what she wants for the business. Layla knows how difficult it is to coexist in these locker rooms, so she suggests leaving Parker alone. Karmen disagrees. In fact, she wants to personally deal with Jaida this Tuesday.
