WWE NXT starts on Netflix!
We see a video recap of NXT The Great American Bash.
Kendal Grey is the one to open the show. The new NXT Women's Champion heads to the ring. The fans greet her with a big ovation. "You deserve it!" chants the crowd. Grey thanks them for it. Kendal wants to be honest with them. She's much more nervous tonight about speaking in front of the fans than before her title match last Sunday. And it's because she's always been very shy in these kinds of situations. "Since John Cena picked me to be part of the Iron Survivor Challenge, my life has been crazy", she says. Kendal remembers that she hasn't stopped having opportunities since then, and she always wondered if she was really ready for it. But the truth is that no one pressures her more than herself. That's how it's been since she was a little girl. Before coming to NXT, she had already dominated the wrestling rings, both in school and in college. In fact, when she arrived at WWE, she did the same in the Evolve brand. However, when she made the jump to NXT, she wondered if she was really prepared for this. "This past Sunday I got the answer. And this title proves it. "I am ready!", she exclaims.
Kendal is aware that she doesn't look like the typical champion. Unlike Lola Vice, she doesn't dress in designer dresses, nor does she wear makeup. That's not her style. She can't sit in the makeup room for five minutes without going crazy. And she takes off half of it before going on stage. "So yeah, I probably don't feel comfortable dressing like a Barbie. And I'll probably be terribly nervous every time I talk to you. And I can't promise that every time I talk I'll sound like a champion. But when the bell rings, I'll fight like a champion! I'm ready to take this division to a new level. A level no one has seen before. And if this title puts a target on my back, great. I welcome that target. I perform better under pressure. I feel very comfortable in competition. And when you step into the ring with Kendal Grey, it's my match. It's my rhythm, my speed. And, sooner or later, the rest of the girls in the locker room will find out they can't match up to Kendal," she says.
Wren Sinclair interrupts the segment to surprise her friend with a two-layer cake.
Wren explains to her companion that she didn't want to be with her because this was her moment, and she deserved it. That said, she reminds her that last week she had a vision: that both would come out as champions of The Great American Bash. Additionally, she also had an idea to celebrate their triumph: a two-layer cake for two champions. And that's exactly what they are going to do right now.
¡Kelani Jordan interrupts the celebration!
Kelani doesn't understand how Wren and Kendal can celebrate the fact that they finally triumphed after receiving opportunity after opportunity. "How about this? How about you give me the opportunity I deserve for the NXT Women's Championship? Because after everything I've achieved, I didn't even have a chance at The Bash. Instead, I was viciously attacked by a lunatic for speaking my truth," says Jordan. Suddenly, Tatum Paxley bursts into the seating area. Paxley climbs the barrier to dive onto Kelani with a diving crossbody. Both women fight as they head backstage. Meanwhile, Wren and Kendal start devouring the cake with both hands. "Welcome to NXT!" they exclaim with their mouths full of cake.
We move backstage, where Keanu Carver has just attacked El Hijo del Vikingo. Robert Stone appears on the scene with several officials. The General Manager reprimands Keanu for what he has just done. The officials take Carver away from the place as Robert tries to assist the Mexican wrestler, who holds his hands to his right leg.
Izzi Dame laments her bad luck backstage. Dame believes that she just needed certain things to work out differently for her to be the NXT North American Champion, NXT Champion, and WWE Speed Champion now. "Izzi Three Belts," she says. Zaria appears on the scene. The Australian believes that Izzi is starting to sound like a somewhat desperate woman, especially with The Culling falling apart. Dame makes it clear that her team is still powerful, but Zaria can't hear her due to a loud noise. Izzi opens the door next to her to see Lizzy Rain with the music blaring. Dame asks her what the hell she's doing. "I'm making it rain, baby!" the British woman replies. Izzi points out to Zaria that she will deal with this personally and leaves the place. This brings us to the end of this segment.
Kelani Jordan approaches Robert Stone to ask him if he saw what happened a few minutes ago. The General Manager acknowledges that he didn't, as he was busy canceling a title match. Jordan explains that she has been attacked once again by Tatum Paxley. Stone is tired of this situation, so he informs her that tonight she will face her enemy in the main event. Stone heads towards Keanu Carver to reprimand him for his actions. Carver points out that this is what happens when he grants title opportunities to men like EK Prosper. "Do you want to know what's on the program? You against EK tonight!", exclaims Stone before leaving.

Romeo asks Stone what's up with them. "Improve your results and we'll talk," says Robert before leaving. Dar points out to his partner that the General Manager is right. Wilder insists that he must focus on his match tonight. He already defeated Carver once, and he will do it again to exact his revenge. EK Prosper thanks him for his words before heading to the ring. This concludes this brief segment.
We move to Robert Stone's office, where he is on the phone. The NXT General Manager acknowledges that things are not going as he wished tonight. At that moment, Kali Armstrong bursts into Stone's office to ask him what she must do to receive a title opportunity. Nattie and her group interrupt the conversation. The Canadian says she thought she heard the words "title opportunity" and believes no one deserves it more than a legend like herself. Nattie praises her allies: Nikkita Lyons (the reigning WWE Evolve Women's Champion), Layla Diggs (who should be grateful to have an opportunity next week), and Karmen Petrovic (who will defeat Jaida Parker tonight to earn her own title opportunity). As for herself, she believes she deserves a championship opportunity because of everything she has done for the business. Grey says she has no problem facing either Kali Armstrong or Nattie. Stone takes Kendal at her word and grants Nattie a shot at the top championship in the division. Satisfied, the Canadian leaves with her teammates, bringing the segment to an end.

Shiloh Hill and Tatum Paxley are chatting backstage. Paxley admits she's disappointed by her loss at The Great American Bash, but she knows that defeating Kelani Jordan tonight will put her back on the path toward reclaiming her championship. Tatum recalls Hill's victory at the PLE, where she saw a side of her friend she had never witnessed before. Shiloh says that side has always been there, hidden deep inside him. And Tristan Angels was the one who brought it out. "We're more alike than you think. We both know when it's time to embrace the darkness. But I'm glad the fun-loving Shiloh is back," Tatum says as she hugs her friend. He wishes her luck in her match tonight. Paxley thanks him before walking away. Niko Vance then enters the scene. Vance says getting rid of the dead weight that was Tatum and Shawn Spears was the right decision. Now Izzi Dame is back on the road to the top. And all they have to do is take out every Superstar one by one. "That's great, but don't talk about Tatum like that," Hill says. "Nice smile," Vance replies before leaving. Shiloh smiles as he puts in his mouthguard.
Sean Legacy approaches Dorian Van Dux backstage. Legacy asks the Belgian where he had been. Apparently, they ended up going in opposite directions while trying to find Robert Stone. Sean says they need to improve their coordination if they want to succeed as a team, especially since he managed to secure them a match with an opportunity at the NXT Tag Team Championships on the line. An excited Dux high-fives his partner and promises they'll work great together. However, they immediately walk off in opposite directions again. The Belgian quickly notices the mistake and changes course to follow his friend.
Wren Sinclair is talking with Myles Borne backstage. They congratulate each other on their successful title defenses at NXT The Great American Bash. Tavion Heights joins them. Sinclair decides to leave so the two men can talk in private. Heights says that's what brotherhood in a team is all about. "It's ride or die. They stick together. Through the good and the bad, no matter what happens," Heights says. "That's what I've been trying to tell you all along," Myles replies before walking away. "I deserved that," Heights says as the segment comes to an end.
Tony D'Angelo makes his way to the ring. The NXT Champion reflects on what happened last week. He ended up in the hospital with a burned eye, unsure whether he was going to lose it. Later, he had to sign a stack of documents releasing the company from any liability because he insisted on facing Naraku at The Great American Bash. And for the first time in his life, he stopped to think. Was it really worth risking his health to defend his championship? "I sat there and asked myself: was it worth it? Of course it was! I showed up at The Great American Bash with one purpose. I told you, Naraku. I was ready for war. Sunday was the definition of blind rage because I sent you crashing through that wall ten seconds after the match started, and I never let up. My hand was raised, and I finished you off," he says. "My eye will recover one hundred percent. But this message is for my next challenger, whoever you are: I am the master of my fate and the captain of my soul. You saw what I'm willing to do to defend this championship. The question is, what are you willing to do to take it from me? As far as I'm concerned, there's not a single man in that locker room capable of swimming in deep waters and taking this championship away from Tony D," the champion says to bring his promo to a close.
Tony heads backstage when Kendal Grey's entrance music hits. The two NXT World Champions bump fists before going their separate ways. Suddenly, Naraku blinds D'Angelo by spraying red mist into his face. Taking advantage of the champion's temporary blindness, the Japanese star attacks him with a steel chair. Naraku drags his victim back into the ring and delivers The Abyss onto the steel chair. Several officials rush out to assist Tony. Grey also checks on the champion while a satisfied Naraku heads back to the locker room. The segment comes to an end.

The execution isn't perfect, however. Kelani immediately hits the move again before putting Tatum away with a split-legged moonsault. 1...2...3.
Winner: Kelani Jordan
A victorious Jordan heads up the entrance ramp while Tatum watches from the ring. Suddenly, a woman rushes into the ring and attacks Paxley from behind! It's Martinez (formerly known as Nikki Blackheart). Martinez drives several knees into Tatum's midsection before dropping her with a clothesline. She hoists Paxley onto her shoulders and locks in a Torture Rack. The attacker then drops her victim to the mat before posing in the ring as the fans shower her with boos. With that, this week's episode comes to an end.
