Kenny Omega was crowned AEW World Champion after defeating MJF in the Beach Break special last week. "The Best Bout Machine's" victory not only propelled him to the main event of AEW All In: London, but it could also have meant the temporary disappearance of "The Devil" from the company's television programming, as reported by the specialized media outlet Fightful.
"Last week, MJF lost the AEW World Championship to Kenny Omega on AEW Dynamite. Originally, the match was scheduled for AEW Redemption, but it was ultimately moved up. When asked about MJF's plans now for the AEW Redemption PPV, we were informed that there is a possibility he will remain off television for a while," the outlet wrote.
"This was not officially confirmed, but rather indicated as a possibility, and no specific timeframe was provided. The individuals we spoke with are still expecting MJF to have some sort of involvement in the AEW All In PPV, although his exact role is currently unknown," the report concluded.
With MJF likely off television, there has been speculation that Kevin Knight may receive an opportunity for the World Championship at AEW Redemption. The wrestler himself has already revealed his intention to compete for the company's top title, although his rivalry with Darby Allin could pose a problem before, during, and after the PPV.
