Setting aside the emotional and highly anticipated coronation of El Grande Americano as the new AAA Megachampion, the most notable headline change was for the Reina de Reinas Championship.
La Catalina made history by defeating Flammer, the champion who held the title for the longest time, ending her reign of 1,128 days. In this way, the Chilean wrestler fulfilled one of her childhood dreams. A dream that could come to an end in just a couple of weeks when she defends her title against Roxanne Perez.
And it's because "The Prodigy" earned a title shot after emerging victorious from a fatal four-way match on Night 1 of Triplemanía 34, held in the city of Las Vegas. La Catalina and Perez will face off at WWE x AAA Worlds Collide on September 26, marking the first officially announced match for the show.
