In recent weeks, several WWE shows on Netflix have been partially censored by the streaming platform. The latest case was found in Money in the Bank, specifically in the first match of the night, which pitted Roman Reigns against LA Knight for the World Heavyweight Championship.

At one point, Reigns raised his index finger to the sky to address the fans while turning his back on "The Megastar." Annoyed, LA Knight immediately interrupted the Samoan's gesture to give him the middle finger. A gesture that was highly celebrated by the fans, but considered in bad taste by Netflix, which did not hesitate to remove from the show. To do this, another angle was taken that shows Roman's back, thus preventing LA Knight's finger from being seen on screen.

It is worth noting that all WWE shows on Netflix are reviewed after their live broadcast with the aim of censoring those parts that the platform deems inappropriate for the target audience of the program. Therefore, it is very common for the presence of blood, certain promos, or foul language to be cut, censored, or outright removed.

Recently, Netflix has censored several segments featuring 946 and The Bloodline due to excessive violence (including a hit-and-run on Jacob Fatu) and blood. This approach by Netflix was something that WWE was already aware of when they signed their agreement with the platform, but it continues to be a headache for the post-production team, as revealed in a recent report.
