Fans attending the next episode of WWE Monday Night Raw will be able to enjoy a AAA Lucha Libre title defense. Los Perros del Mal (Daga, Angel, and Berto) will defend the AAA Trios World Championship against Mr. Iguana, La Parka, and Psycho Clown in a dark match set to take place on Monday, October 19th at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California.
The match was announced through AAA Lucha Libre's social media and adds to another non-televised title defense featuring Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Championship. Both matches are planned as special attractions for the fans in attendance and will not be part of the regular Monday Night Raw broadcast.
The trios championship defense comes just over a month after Los Perros del Mal captured the belts at AAA Triplemanía 34. On September 11th, Daga, Angel, and Berto defeated Psycho Circus, ending the group's 663-day reign.
That victory was marked by El Carnicero's interference, who attacked Dave the Clown during the match. Psycho Clown, who had replaced Panic Clown due to medical issues, ended up leaving the match to confront Carnicero. Los Perros del Mal took advantage of the situation to win the championships.
Now, Psycho Clown will have a new opportunity to regain the titles, this time being accompanied by Mr. Iguana and La Parka. The latter two have already shared the ring in AAA programming, including the September 5th episode, where they teamed up with El Fiscal to defeat Los Vipers and Dinámico.
The presence of these stars on Raw also reflects the increasing integration of AAA talents in WWE-organized events. The company continues to use wrestlers and championships from the Mexican promotion in various shows, both televised and exclusive to attendees.
The announced defense for Raw won't be the only title commitment for Los Perros del Mal in the coming days. The group is also scheduled to defend the belts at AAA Héroes Inmortales 2026, an event set for Saturday, October 24th at the Gimnasio Olímpico Juan de la Barrera in Mexico City.
On that occasion, their announced rivals are La Parka, Mr. Iguana, and Niño Hamburguesa. If both defenses hold, Los Perros del Mal would arrive at the Mexican event after having defended their championships against a similar combination of opponents just five days earlier.
Additionally, the trios match adds to the showdown between Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Championship, also announced as a dark match for San Diego. According to information previously published by PWInsider, WWE is aiming to include non-televised matches with important stars in their events to provide an additional appeal to the audience buying a ticket.
The upcoming episode of WWE Raw will also feature the appearance of Roman Reigns, who is set to continue developing his rivalry with Sami Zayn leading up to Crown Jewel. Additionally, JD McDonagh will face Joe Hendry in a singles match. The show will take place on Monday, October 19th at the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California.
