John Cena's retirement tour is approaching its final stretch and all eyes are on this week's episode of SmackDown. According to WrestleVotes, the appearance of the seventeen-time world champion could be his last on the blue brand.

A WWE source revealed that Cena has seven dates remaining on his schedule, of which only two have not yet been announced. Everything indicates that none of them will correspond to SmackDown, so this Friday at the Allstate Arena in Chicago could become a symbolic closure: the same stage where he made his debut on the show over two decades ago.

We are told that within WWE some are quietly hoping that tomorrow will be Cena's last appearance on SmackDown. With only seven dates left to fulfill and just two unannounced, it is unlikely that another one will be for the blue brand. That would mean that Cena debuted and said goodbye in the same place, the Allstate Arena in Chicago.

The moment comes just after John Cena defeated Logan Paul at Clash in Paris, one of the most extravagant matches of the year. With Wrestlepalooza on the horizon, it remains to be seen how WWE will make use of the last appearances of one of its most beloved legends.

As it is his final appearance on Friday Night SmackDown, it is very likely that WWE will announce the highly anticipated match between John Cena and Brock Lesnar, a fight that has not yet been made official, but about which the company has started dropping hints.

John Cena's television debut in WWE took place on June 27, 2002, in an episode of SmackDown held at the Allstate Arena in Chicago. That night, Kurt Angle issued an open challenge to anyone in the locker room, and a young Cena appeared accepting the challenge. Introducing himself with the motto of "Ruthless Aggression," he faced off against the Olympic gold medalist and immediately struck him to make his defiant attitude clear.

Although he ultimately lost the match, Cena surprised the audience and the wrestlers themselves with his intensity, resilience, and several false finishes that made him stand out from day one. The segment became a historic moment, as it marked the beginning of one of the most successful careers in WWE history, solidifying SmackDown as the platform where John Cena's legend began.
