A production error caught the attention during the broadcast of NXT No Mercy, when a graphic incorrectly identified Kelly Kincaid by showing a picture of former announcer Samantha Irvin on screen. The mistake occurred during the presentation of the broadcast team in the opening match of the show.

The graphic did correctly include Vic Joseph and Booker T as commentators, as well as Mike Rome as the official announcer, but it confused Kincaid's image with Irvin's, who left WWE in 2024 and has not been part of the company for over a year.

Currently, Mike Rome serves as the announcer on NXT, while Alicia Taylor handles Raw and Mark Nash is on SmackDown. The mistake highlighted a lapse in production during a segment of high visibility.

After her departure from WWE, Samantha Irvin explained that her decision was not related to Ricochet's departure to AEW. Her goal was to explore opportunities as an on-screen character, especially in a manager role. Faced with the lack of that possibility, she chose to leave the company to focus on a music career. After her departure, Lilian García briefly returned as a substitute.

The match in which the error occurred concluded with Je'Von Evans defeating Josh Briggs, finishing the fight with a spectacular top-rope cutter. So far, Samantha Irvin has not made any comments on the matter. Neither has Ricochet.
